Do any of your departments have Challenge Coins?

I collect them, but my department does not have them. The Academy I teach for has them.

My department issues challenge coins for different things. You get one when you graduate the academy, also lots of the special teams have their own challenge coins. I just got another one from being on our DIve team.

LAPD is big into challenge coins. They are actually used as fund raisers and each division has one. That is 19 divisions with two more being created next year. The Chief has his own coin that he gives out for exemplary performance. In other words, most of them you can just buy, but a few of them have to be earned.

Hello all!! My department uses challenge coins. I can speak for AK hunter's coins they are awesome!! I think he would say the same for the VA state coins. I would love to do some trading with anyone who might be interested!!

Thanks Josh, I would say yours are awesome as well, they sit proudly in my collection. Next week I will be ordering a new coin for the Firearms Instructors by the way.

I am a retired LEO from San Jose PD, and am looking for officers that trade or have extra LAPD challenge coins.  I need to find approx 40 coins to get my collection up to date.  I have some duplicate LAPD coins and also my agency challenge coins.  Anyone out there that also collects coins.  thx cj  1947
