| Posted about 4 years ago I've noticed another rash of poorly choosen comments by LEOs and non-LEOs alike. If you receive a message about it, then consider it a CYA. Some departments/agencies throughout the nation have disciplined LEOs for their comments on a public site. Be careful what you post, you represent your department. Nuff said. I'm not sure what you are referring to, are you saying you don't care what the moderators say? or the people making the remarks? I am ashamed of some of the remarks that these so called LEOs make on here. It gives us all a bad name. I find lots pictures here that I think are pretty good but I will not make any comments that give us a bad name. Some of them are " wow smokin hott" " I'd do ya" "nice rack" come on guys that's just plain wrong and encourages BB's etc. "The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of moral crisis, do nothing." I said it there and I'll say it here now; It all comes down to SELF-RESPECT ! Both for the people posting the pictures and those making the comments ! |

This is very true and I couldn't agree more. Let me make an analogy though: You're walking down the street and you see a beautiful woman. She must like to be looked at because she is wearing skin-tight jeans and a low cut red v-neck shirt. You think to yourself, "She is HOT!" You continue walking down the street having said nothing. The woman may have low self-esteem issues and very little self-respect. She relies on the affections of men for self-value. The man not only respects himself, but also everyone around him by not speaking his comment out loud. In this story if the man had looked around more he may have noticed the 13yo girl walking near him, the boy scout troop coming up on his right and his girlfriend just getting out of a cab to surprise him... What's the point of all this? We can't always control what someone is wearing or what picture makes it to the albums, but we can control our tongues and keyboards. Again, you never know who's watching, listening, recording... Bill9823-I know you mean well, but my friend if I did that then the entire time that I was on Police Link would be spent pointing out pics that should not be on here, What PL should do is like what other sites have started doing,...and that is you submit the pics you want up and they are reviewed that way no one gets any on that should not be on here,...there should be a clear set of rules set on what types of pics can AND CAN NOT be posted and then there should ( and I would be glad to be one of them ) be a group of members (pic mods if you will) that review what you submit...the ones that are allowed on will be posted with in 48 hrs, and the ones that are not allowed will be rejected with a short note as to why. This way ones like the one I sent you the other day with two 13 or 14 year old girls on it with the lude comments by LEO'S would never make it into public view. Just one mans opinion- but until then I will keep trying to point out the ones that I do see,....thing is when you click on that it is "INAPPROPRIATE" nothing ever seems to be done- thats when you have to send the note to a Mod....if I did that with every pic I see your mail box would be full everyday, AGAIN "JOMO" (Just One Mans Opinion) Sometimes in this world there is Justice,..and sometimes there is JUST US..

I'm so tired of seeing "forced cleavage" (as someone else said), thongs, bikinis that are barely there etc...posted by both men and women...and then the comments that inevitably come with them. I'm pretty broad minded, but c'mon, have just a little respect, not just for yourself, but for the others here ! Don't sweat the small stuff....you'll dehydrate |
