Posted almost 6 years ago Man Gets 2 DUI's in Day From Same Cop
June 13, 2007, 5:03 PM EDT MISSOULA, Mont. -- A man was cited for drunken driving twice in the same day, by the same officer, and jailed after authorities said he showed up drunk for his arraignment. Court records said Adam T. Lundgren, 42, was cited for misdemeanor drunken driving after being spotted driving erratically at 5:30 p.m. Monday. He was later released to a sober friend, but jumped from the friend's car and returned to downtown Missoula, where he continued drinking, court records said. At about 10 p.m., Lundgren drove into a bridge railing and started to run away. Witnesses captured him and held him until police arrived. Officer Cody Lanier of the Missoula Police Department again cited Lundgren for drunken driving, along with reckless driving and failing to heed a stop sign. Lundgren posted $700 bail later Monday night, but was jailed Tuesday afternoon after showing up drunk for his Municipal Court arraignment, court records said. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago wow, the nerves of some people. You know, thats why they have stores you can go buy your alcohol and take it home to drink...geez. Guessing he didnt wanna miss out on the local drinking contest. The killing of that police chief in KY comes to mind on this case. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago No kidding...people who drink and drive "irk" me. We just had a fatality accident two nights ago where a drunk driver sped past two of our officers on traffic stops at excess of 90mph and by the time they caught up with him...leaving their traffic stop...he had already hit another car. The driver of the vehicle he hit was thrown from his car..not wearing seatbelt...and the suspects car caught on fire. The victim died at the scene and bystanders pulled the suspect from his burning vehicle with little to no bumps, brusies or scratches on him. A life taken too soon and for no reason. State police assumed the investigation because it happened on the interstate. I hope he gets the maximum on this! |

| Posted over 5 years ago The main reason I hate a drunk. Another innocent life taken. They never learn. I'll say it til it happens. 1st offense: 10 yr loss of license, 1 yr jail and $10,000 fine. Maybe that will get it across. |
