Posted over 4 years ago Alright everyone. I'm a strong believer in armor. I've had more than one suspect state he surrendered because he saw the tank pull into his yard. who's got it....and more importantly who wants it. Lead, Follow or get out of my way! |

| Posted over 4 years ago Our Department has a Lenco Bearcat
Lenco also makes an extra large vesion: The BEAR
They are great for Officer/Civilian rescues or to have a fortified position in an area where none could be found. BIG cost though-$250K. "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

| Posted over 4 years ago The Army and Marines have purchased well over 11,000 MRAPS. I seriously doubt we will leave it to the Iraqis, if anything they will see sevice after we leave Iraq and build up Afghanistan. Eventually though, the need for that many in the field wil lessen. It sure would be nice if the DoD transferred many of them over to civilian police agencies all over the US....especially in lie of the recent deaths of 2 LEOs at the hands of a bomber. Would be great to see LE tac teams and EOD teams using MRAPs to get to and fro. Anyone not knowing what an MRAP is just check out my gear section in my profile, Im a TC of the RG-33 MRAP. |
