| Posted over 2 years ago Sherry, I can't even put into words how much this story upsets me that people could do this to a child. I have seen the atrocities of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, yet I am nowhere near as affected by those. I am thankful that you were able to overcome this horrible evil that befell you as a child and hope that the people who did this to you will never again be able to harm another child. I thank you for your commitment to help others and wish you all the happiness that you should have enjoyed as a child. |

| Posted about 2 years ago Children are amazing - sometimes when they're abused or mistreated, they develop the determination to make a difference in the world & to help others who have found themselves in the same situation. Thanks for caring about the children! |

| Posted about 2 years ago Thank you for your heartfelt respones inspiratons. Children have a very intense need to be accepted, valued, have a purpose and a future. Abuse threatens to take those hopes and dreams away. As a youth I saw and heard the stories of people who had survived obstacles and great difficulties. That has been my passion since I was a teenager. To tell others so that they would realize they could survive and move on. dolphinblue |

| Posted about 2 years ago I'm nearly at a loss for words...so many emotions flowed through me while reading your story...Horror, Grief, Anger, Relief, Admiration, Pride... You are a source of inspiration and so are the LEO's who helped you through this ordeal. It is a very scary world out there and the Men and Women who step up voluntarily to look evil in the eye, fight it back and protect those who need it are the true definition of Heroes. You are a Hero! I will remember your strength and perseverance while I am on my journey to become a Law Enforcement Officer. May God continue to bless you

You took all that hurt and translated into: I won't let this happen to any other child, as long as I am still breathing. You are a true blessing of God. | Posted about 2 years ago A heartrending story, beautifully written. Thank you for being a friend here, and for sharing. I have two young teens. They have never been spanked, or yelled at, I have never needed to, (thank God, don't know if I could) and again thank God they have never had to endure what you did. I guess it is good for anyone who hurts a child that no one asks me what to do with them. Again thank you for the friend invitation. I am honored. |

| Posted about 2 years ago honestly, the justice system should have no mercy for people who hurt innocent children. the fact that they hurt children shows they are weak. |
