Redundant Thread Redundancy: An Announcement

Posted over 4 years ago Good morning, good day, and good evening wherever you are! Fellow PLovians, I come to you with a subject that we've only touched on before. Once again I find myself repeating myself again. Ohhhh, the redundancy! What, you say, am I talking about? Repeat threads, posts, forums, groups. PoliceLink is often times overrun with dopplegangers looking to clutter the boards. I counted 3 McCain groups, 2 Obama groups, 6 movie based groups, 4 MMA type groups, 3 USAF Security Forces groups, 4 ghost groups, 3 cooking groups...I think you get the picture. As for threads/posts I have noticed that some members will post the same thread in multiple forums which all show up immediately in the Most Recent Forums view. This clogs up the Most Recent function and becomes an annoyance to many other members who don't wish to sift through the same post multiple times. Please refrain from reposting the same post in public threads multiple times. Multiple posts in the open forums will be locked away in a black hole and only the original post will remain. On the same not, please search the group area for a group you'd like before deciding to start a new group. This serves two functions: 1st, it strengthens the type of group you are looking for when you join it rather than starting a competing group; 2nd, it makes it easier for others to find the group they wish to join if they don't have to decide between 2 or more of the same groups. Thanks for reading and please BUMP! "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." ~ George Orwell "Honor First!" | Posted over 4 years ago I think bumping is redundant. Especially for redundant threads talking about other redundant threads whose sole purpose is to be a redundant thread just by way of the redundant title and redundant subject matter. But I redundantly digress from this subjent and move on to more redundancy elsewhere within PL.

| Posted over 4 years ago I do think this thread has been brought up before about Redundant threads so does not this make his thread also redundant ? but it is still a good Redundant thread because if you look there are a lot of Redundant threads if you post something in a open group you do not need to post it in several hundred open groups but we see this everyday 10 or 15 of the same post by the same person so please think before you post thank you Only God knows his plans for all of us and why we might meet in life |
