Has anyone ever purchased Smith and Wesson duty boots? I've only worn Magnum Stealth's but I've found a pair of Smith and Wesson's for an awesome price. Any comments/help would be appreciated.

Ashley,

I have not had any experience with them, our department wears Converse, and I have personally bought 5.11 HRT boots that are extremely comfortable.

I bought a pair of Belleville 700,s. The only place that I know of to get them are on line at Bellevilleshoe.com, They are almost identical to Danners for about $100 cheaper. I've had mine for 2 years and wouldn't trade them for any thing. They are resoleable too. Belleville is what they now issue to the military.

"Siderlock" replacement trigger for Glock, a new product from TGS. In effect a Glock "safety".Anyone tried this out yet? At 59.95 I don't want to get one just to find out I don't like it. The ONLY problems I have with Glocks is that darn trigger safety that sticks out just enough to P my trigger finger off after 50 or 60 rds and a lack of a safety gives me the disincentive(?) to carry round in chamber

Pappy07..The only complaints I have heard about the Siderlock is that it "encourages one to place his finger on the trigger before he is ready to fire"...I disaggree as I dont believe any safe and rational shooter would attempt to disengage a safety until truly ready to fire. I personally have installed 3 of these safeties on my Glocks, (23, 27, 17) and find them to be very useful. They are no more invasive than any other safety, and I appreciate the added security against unintentional discharge. The only naysayers I have encountered are those that have never used them. Several friends and family have tried them and are pleased as well. Be safe.
