...and now my 2 month old son is teething. It sure does seem early for a baby to start cutting teeth.

I have a 5 year old sister so I know that teething does start later, but it did start early with her.. its perfectly fine, nothing to be worried about. Hope for the best

Not worried at all, I've been through this with my other son. Generally, the teething process doesn't start until around 6 months, but it depends on the baby.

I was getting excited about sleeping through the night again...

GTS197: That's early. I've heard babys can be born with teeth. there are 20 baby teeth, the central front bottom (incisor) is usually the first to come in at 6 months. The last to come in are usually the molars at 20 and 24 months. My niece has a 3 month old and she alternates nights with dad on who gets up. The only problem with that is they can't decide if the baby doesn't get up one night does that still count as the persons night or do they take the next night.

Oh my don’t get your hopes up too soon.... I thought now that my youngest is five that I would be able to sleep through the night... Well guess what it don’t happen I have 3 girls and if one is not having a bad dream the next one is... The other night I felt like the worst mother in the world... My youngest (5 years old) woke up with a tooth ache :(( I had no idea that she had broken one of her molars and we had to have it pulled... But she’s much better now and no more pain but dang and I brush her teeth and I didn’t see it... So good luck with sleeping through the night…
