You haven't heard from me in a while. I am the Forums Adminstrator. All things go through me. Real LEO's call this a Chain of Command. It is a place to start to ask questions, submit complaints or generally ask questions that you don't post in a discussion or thread.

Just for info....

This one is for citizens, inlaws and outlaws: I know you are there and thank you for being here. I know some of you represent the media, anti-law enforcement sentiments, and other non-friends of non-law enforcement. For info,...this is a LEO site that enjoys the company of many people. If you are discovered to be anti-law enforcement, I/we will be relentless .... be advised.

This one is for real supporters: We love ya ! Now,...if there is a wolf in sheep's clothing among you,...I/we will be relentless....

This one is for the ones who got pass the "Request Restricted Access" process: Some of you are real deal LEOs. Some of you are involved in the law enforcement profession, are not cops per se but have acquired an itty bitty star because any number of requirements that you have met. Some of you are long gone from LEO-Land and left because of less than desirable circumstances. Some of  you are street worthy deputies, cops, or other actively engaged gun-totin' law enforcement officials that don't have to qualify your status because you are a known quantity. Others have restricted access privileges because you technically meet the requirement.

Ok,....for the rest who have slippped through: I/we will be relentless. If you post photos of yourself that are 'inappropriate' because you have nothing else to show in your life, I/we will be relentless. Same thing for comments, posts and groups.

Lastly, real deal LEO's. Don't come here to hide, escape your personal problems or otherwise disquise yourself and show photos, make comments or make other inappropriate posts that don't exemplify the best and honorable qualitities of law enforcement.

To this, I will personally be relentless. 

I have seen much around here over the many months.  I have to ask the question:

If you were to die today, would you want your comments from PoliceLink quoted at your funeral ? And would want your photos posted here in a PowerPoint presentation at your funeral...?

I have been here all along, Bill. Mostly in the shadows handling issues by pm and such. Now it's time to brandish the sword and establish a presence here for all, except for those who oppose PL. I kid you not,....I am going after every single violator. Anyone who is 'inappropriate' or otherwise not PL material will be handled with 'extreme prejudice'. (quote from Apocalypse Now)

I weary of my LEO brothers and sister who come here to act out and not example the Code of Ethics. It's pathetic. And, it's only a minority of people but my sword is now sharp......

Well said Sarge, and what a timely reminder.    ( I never did understand what bump meant)  but, BUMP !    You have my utmost respect and support.

As a Law Enforcement Officer, my fundamental duty is to serve mankind; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all persons to liberty, equality and justice.

I will keep my private life unsullied as an example to all; maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest in thought and deed in both my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws of the land and the regulations of my department. Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.

 I will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminal, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.

I recognize the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service. I will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession...law enforcement.
