Something that has been really getting on my nerves for the longest is this BS that my brothers and sisters in Iraq have been/ and still are going through. The BS i am referring to is Service Members being put in jail for doing their freaking job. No i don't condone everything that has happened i.e. the raping of an iraqi girl, but mostly every other incident that has happened was strictly BS.  For example A team of Snipers were doing what they do best, on orders from their commander, they were told to set up a bait and wait, which in other words the snipers scattered detonation wire, and other components to make I.E.D's in a location, and waited for the insurgents to come and pick those items up, and when they did, they were met with a round from one of their long guns..  That sniper team was charged with murder and a lot of other charges stemming from that op. Now if i was walking down the streets of NY and i see something like that i am not going to pick it up... They picked it up because they were going to use it, plain and simple.  There are so many other incidents that took place in this shithole...  IF YOU HAVENT STEPPED FOOT IN IRAQ, YOU CAN'T POSSIBLY KNOW THE DANGERS WE FACE DAILY, SO HOW COULD ONE GIVE JAILTIME TO ANY MEMBER OF ANY BRANCH WHO IS IN ANOTHER COUNTRY FIGHTING THE WAR ON TERROR... O YEA, BECAUSE IT IS NOT THEIR SON OR DAUGHTER!!!  BY ALL MEANS IM NOT COMPLAINING BECAUSE I SIGNED THE LINE, AND I RAISED MY RIGHT HAND AND SWORE TO DEFEND THE U.S. AGAINST ALL ENEMIES BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC, SO IM GOOD, BUT YOU BETTER BELIEVE IM SHOOTING FIRST AND ASKING QUESTIONS LATER!! If an insurgent straps on a vest packed with C4 and is walking towards a checkpoint and does not stop at that warning shot line when instructed to do so and gets his head blown off by Ma Duece(.50 cal) so be it, if a insurgent has 4 people in his little orange and white  buggy lined with explosives and gets to close to a convoy and everyone in the vehicle gets killed so be it!! they should of inspected the vehicle before deciding to get in!!! JUST MY TAKE ON THINGS...  YOU GUYS CAN CALL ME WHATEVER YOU WANT...  JUST LET ME KNOW WHEN YALL COMING OUT HERE, AND WE CAN TAKE A RIDE IN MY ASV

It's all politics man...one of the other newer staff asked me if he could shoot an escaping inmate...

I said "sure, but you'll be investigated, relieved of duty and probably sued."

Then he asked what would happen if he didn't shoot anyone...even if he KNEW they were escaping...

I said "probably nothing, you could always justify not shooting someone."

It's sad, but true...we live in a society where it's okay to trample over someone at WalMart on Black Friday...but not kill a known terrorist or confirmed enemy.
