| Posted 11 months ago my department is working 2 on 2 off then 3 on then 2 off and 2 on then 3off gives you every other week-end off as a 3 day week-end have alot of time during the off time to do personal matters and work extra jobs !! |

| Posted 11 months ago This shift is great. No problems. We work the same schedule and I love it. The best part is being able to burn 24 hours leave time and have the entire week off. | Posted 11 months ago Hi I work a 4-2 work week 8 hr shift, this lets us work ot and road details, I work the 4-12 shift and now I'm 12-8 shift ot. I love the 8 hr shift. You get your days off or your nights off. I prefer the 8 hour shift. Stay Safe |

| Posted 10 months ago WE WORK 12 HR SHIFTS AND THE GUYS LOVE IT. BECAUSE YOU REALLY ONLY WORK HALF A MONTH. EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF. YOU CAN TAKE TWO DAYS OFF ON A SHORT WEEK AND HAVE A WHOLE WEEK OFF.THE HOURS END UP WITH A 84 HOUR PAYDAY. WORK MON & TUES OFF WED & THURS OFF FRI, SAT & SUN WORK MON & TUES OFF WED & THUR WORK FRI , SAT, & SUN. WE HAVE 4 SHIFTS A,B,C,D IT WAS A BIG CHANGE FROM 8 HR SHIFTS BUT AFTER WE GOT USE TO IT EVERY ONE LOVED IT. |

| Posted 9 months ago My department does the 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off rotation and I love it. We work 12 hours except on the Fridays which we work 8 hours on the Friday that we are scheduled. This works great for family time cause I get every other week Fri, Sat, and Sun off. |

| Posted 9 months ago I love the 12 hour shift.. You only work like 14 days a month.. have every other weekend off. I get to work off duty so thats extra money for easy work.. love it,, who wouldn't Robin |

| Posted 9 months ago We recently went to a modified Dupont schedual (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off), which works out to every other weekend off. We work 12 hr shifts, 0600-1800 or 1800-0600. We also rotate night to days each month. We switched from a 12 hr, with 4 on, 4 off. Like this one much better. At least now we know that you are going to be off some weekends. With the old, you would go about a month with out a weekend off, |

| Posted 8 months ago We work 12hrs shifts with a 28 day flop from nights to days--and with the rotation during the week it does give you a 3 day weekend off everyother week, which is cool if you dont have any of those wonderful type co-workers who abuse sick time, excessive hogging of certain days & hrs...etc. Then its pretty good, it gets more exhausting as I get older ( rather as time moves on |

| Posted 8 months ago Well look at it this way............You only work 1/2 the month about 15 days vs 20 + I love it more time off every other weekend off you can actually have a life.........I dont think I would want to work for a department that didnt have this shift....some of the older guys hate it but then they get use to it and it is ok... the only thing that really sucks is when you have to go to court and you are there half the day and have to be back at 6p.........other than that LOVE IT. and so does my family |

| Posted 8 months ago dont really think I would like the flop from day to night that would be hard to get use to Iam not a morning person myself so i would talk a little getting use to ..........Good luck with it ........summers coming up now is the time to think about thnks like this,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,FUN |

| Posted 8 months ago Try this shift on for size, Our Department goes for midnites, 10 days on 5 off 10 on 5 off 10 on then 8 off. It is a long haul but you get mini vacations throughout the Year.

| Posted 8 months ago Management hates the 12's on our deparment. The guys love 'em. We got 'em into our contract before management decided they hate 'em. It will be a point of battle in our next contract negotiation. There will be mutiny if we lose 'em. The young guys who have never worked a six and two would go nuts if they ever had to do it. They have no idea how bad that is. |
