Fear not the night.

And I am that which walks the night.

But only evil need fear me …

My department has its own academy.  POST requirements PLUS, PLUS, PLUS!  6 months of 40 hrs/wk of academy.  Woot!  I miss it in some twisted way.  LOL  But I wouldn't go back, b/c patrol is WAY more fun!

Passaic County NJ Police Academy... 1st class to ever go through...  Paint wasn't even dry...All the instructors were full time working officers and there was very little of the tear down / build up stuff... 2 of the best things were the way they instructed ....  "Here's what the statute says... remember that for the test"... now forget that crap... this is how it really is" ... saved alot of "lurning curve" ;) ....   oh...  and then there was a nice "gentlemens club" a few blocks away that were nice enough to provide free space for our study group meetings ...LOL ...

I remember when I was brand new I went to an in service training named " Creative Report Writing"  given by one of the County Prosecutors.....   Anyone had a class like that recently ...

I hear that Icelady11 ...  we did alot of training too but these were different times... good times just the same....

I drove through the small town where I started to go to a wedding a few years ago...  It used to be a great little town but now it looks like a bombed out drug infested crap hole ... all the  families are gone and they've been replaced by slime...   It just wouldn't have happened back in the day and is a shame :(   Back then... From the top down, most department stood side by side together as one....  nuff said ... sniffle snifle...LOL
