I am a corrections officer and can't get into the corrections section, why?

This may be your hang up:

The reason I am familiar is because I worked for Transcor America for a while until I went to the academy. I understand that CCA is contracted to do corrections but by state and federal statute they are not peace officers.

Well that's what I thought, Transcor was a company under CCA. That's probably why he can't get verified.

Private prisons should scare the hell out of everyone. There is no room for profit in public safety! My .02.

CCA if I remember right is a private facility not state or federal is that correct? If that is correct then you can not be a peace officer. Otherwise it could be neccessary for you to fax your credentials to police link.

Strange, Texas requires all Jailers(except state TDCJ-not sure...) in private, city, and county jailes to be TECLOSE certfied as Jailers. Would the state TCLEOSE(POST in other states) not be suitable?
