| Posted over 4 years ago I've had dozens each year on DWI arrest on over the 13 years on the job, most started well with the driver acting responsible while talking to me, others combative, all ended locked up and charged! RALPH'S CHANNEL ON VEETLE.COM

| Posted over 4 years ago On patrol we had to do 3 months of dwi work every 18 months. All we did was dwi enforcement. I have made hundreds of dwi arrests. They range from compliant to down right obnoxious and violent. Most dwi's we arrested were .15 or better. never anything below a .13 unless it was a vehicular manslaughter. Then anything above .08 was acceptable. I absolutley hated the people who would tell me "please don't do this to me" as they had kids in the car. as if i wasthe one who made them driove drunk with children! I didn't really like the work though. Sometimes funny stuff happened that you could laugh about, but there were certainly more times that I would just think about what a waste as i saw some innocent person who got really hurt because someone else wasn't smart enough to get a ride. |

| Posted over 4 years ago I couldn't guess how many DUI arrests I've made I can tell youI haven't lost any. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted over 4 years ago This is a funny question, because most of us that have any road experience have bagged hundreds of DUI's, if not more. And as mentioned, there is a potpourri of reactions from suspects being arrested. One comment that I very much enjoyed was made by an old Irishman that refused to take a breath test for me. When I asked why he wouldn't, he said, (in his thick Irish idiom), "No laddie, all ya haf ta do is sniff the cork to be o'er on that thang!" |
