I was just wondering.....The next time someone goes to the bank they need to ask and let us know.

Maybe...

1) Vision impaired person could be sitting behind the driver... In college it was routine for 2 or 3 of us to use the same ATM from 1 car.

2) Whatever company makes the ATM machines probably just makes the same standard machine for every order/location. I doubt they're concerned with finding out if the machine is a drive up or walk up machine to know whether or not they need to put a few little bumps on the fingerpads. So I would assume all the ATMs are just the same standard machine.

One of those things I've been trying to figure out for years. The other is why in the rest room, do they put the paper towel holder above your shoulders so that when you're turning the handle, the water is trickling down your arm under your sleeve?????

here I may put some light on this I used to work for LSI we used to service all the Wells Fargo, US Bank etc. ATM's the reason there is brail on them and also a hearing aid plug in thanks to uncle sam is a requirement under the federal law for equal treatment crap. One thing I hate is why do I have press 1 for English on the damn ATM aren't we in THE USA? can't every one learn English

I thought it was so the banks could justify a higher atm fee.

Hey i had a partner that got a complaint for using a ATM while on duty. He was getting money so we could go have dinner and a civilian called in a complaint stating that a police officer shouldn't use an ATM while on duty.

Same reason Mcdonalds has brail on it... to avoid a law suit. It makes no sense to me but it's the only stupid reason I can think of!
