I know that most of you are  police officers, but I am not feeling the safety that I should be for me and my family right now. I am trying to figure out why that is, and the only thing I can think of is that it actually has to do with the law enforcement department and the officers themselves.

Alright, I know that when people don't have a life any better than what they chose to have, they pick on other people. But what I guess I don't understand is why people push and push like they can control everyone else.

You can not always rely on the police for help in a situitation. The most that a police officer is going to tell you is that to either be the bigger person, to move somewhere else or get a restraining order. What good is that if you can't get help? The whole point in call the police is to get the help with a situation. IF you don't need that help, you sure are not going to call the police.

When you are threatened or intimidated to the point that you are scared to go out in your own yard or outside your own house, who are you suppose to get help from if you can not rely on the police.? I seriously think that something is wrong with this.

But did you know that if you own a fire arm, the officer will tell you that you have no need to carry it on your person at your own house. That is such a crock. If you have to carry your fire arm on your person at your own house, then there is a reason. Such as neighbors intimidating or threatening you or that have already tried to come after you. Why should you have to live like that and why should you have to worry whether or not your neighbors are going to come after you and do something to you???

The way this society is anymore is not a good one for our children to grow up in. And our own presidential canidates want to take our right to keep and bear arms away from us. Then how are we suppose to protect ourselves and our family from stupid people out there? Especially since we can not count on our law enforcement officers to be there. I think it is a crock that on the side of police cars it says, " To Serve and To Protect." I do not right at this moment do not feel as if my law enforcement officers are helping protect me and my family from the crazy people that are living by me and have already made threats in front of my children.

First of all you came to the wrong place to trash talk police. Secondly police aren't able to do something with absolutely every situation given to them. There really are some things that we can't do anything about. As far are your particular situation you are going to have to be more specific about what happened for us to comment. If someone is threatening you then in some states a case can be opened for terroristic threatening but then we have to prove that you were threatened, do you know how hard that can be without evidence. Third we can not provide you a uniform cop 24/7 that's why they ask you to stay somewhere else or move. Fourth no police officer could or would tell you not to carry a gun in your own home that's your right to do so.

Sounds like they gave you your lawful options and owning a handgun (provided you are not a convicted felon) is also an option. Just be sure that you can articulate that you were protecting your life or anothers life, also remember you can't take that bullet back once it's fired. Your final option if all else fails is to move to another location. I don't understand what else you wanted the officer to do. Should he/she have went next door and beat them up for you? You should think about what you say before you say it, especially when you're obviously upset!
