Posted about 1 year ago I have heard that police officers receive a special 'number' (kind of like an O.L. number) when they are certified, called a Permanent Identifier. A friend of mine was an M.P. and does not know if he has a Permanent Identifier or not. My question is; do any of you know whether or not M.P.s receive Permanent Identifiers? VINCIT QUI SE VINCIT

This was never the case as long as I was in. There were skill identifyers such as, I was Q9 wich was TAI Traffic accident investigator. I did have a permanent call sign in the Army because I was the traffic NCOIC/OIC my call sign was 7-6 but there are no more service numbers everything is done by SSN, in KSP my badge number is the only thing we go by, my call sign is my badge number always Pain is weakness leaving the body. | Posted about 1 year ago We are issued a RAQ Number. I have no idea what RAQ stands for. We are also given car numbers, but they can change and are specific to districts. For example, the Nashville District, which covers most of Northern Middle TN is 3. Therefore all car numbers in the 3rd District start with either 33 or 34. The car number is the license plate number as well. I'm in district 9 which is a group of specialized units ie; aviation, swat, canine etc. My car number is 67. I drive an unmarked however and it has a blind tag. Of course we also have a badge number. When first joined the military they were still using serial numbers. I can still rattle mine off. They went to SSAN for the serial number in 67 or 68. Beyond fatigue lies compensatory hypertrophy |

| Posted about 1 year ago I have a take home car and it has it's own KSP License plate but the only use for it is when people complain, the supervisors know who the complaint is on. Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Well here in greene county we have a badge number however that changes if a new sheriff is elected because we have to swear in again under the new sheriff and that causes the change in number.....or so i have been told.............I have been here for nine years and have not had to learn a new sheriff yet. We also have a call number/car number which is made up of three digits.............our headquarters is called 500 so all of our numbers start with five..............we have four shifts the twenties forties sixties and eighties. So the second number designates your shift 2,4,6 or 8...........The third and final digit is basically the seniority number...........The Lt has 0 the sarge has 1 senior patrolman 2 and so on and so forth down to right now i think some of our shifts may have a 9
so in my case my number is 544.........just thought i would drop my two cents K-9 Handlers always have the balls!!!! |
