Excellent letter, well written and great flow. I will answer the question for the President of the United States. Dear _______K____ I agree wiith you Miss K. Police, firefigthers and even EMTand Paramedics all deserve the same respect and care as our military personnel. If we were a typical Democracy form of government something could be done. However, we are a Republic and the US Constitution has built in walls between Fedreal and State autonomy rights. Each state would have to give up their sovergnty and several Constitutional Amendments would have to be passed in order forn the Federal Government to treat them equal to federal troops. Your letter should be sent to every State House in the Union to see if their legislatures and governors would give up their powers to make your request happen. Your Truly & God Bless the USA President GW B____ |

| Posted over 4 years ago She is wise beyond her years! Tell her I said thank you from California Law Enforcement Officers. That was beautifully written, if I wasn't already the age that I am (which is old enough) I would think I would be working for her someday.

| Posted over 4 years ago She reads the comments and thanks everyone for their support. She wants to become a politician and fight for the rights of Law Enforcement...When I read the letter I cried....She amazed me with her ability to express in her own words the things that so many of us think of daily..... |

| Posted over 4 years ago What a great post! And, from a 10 year old, no doubt? Wow! This kid may be the first female President of the USA, if she so chooses. Although I voted for W...twice...frankly, I wouldn't hold my breath on him doing anything for any LEOs. This is especially true, considering how he has let two hard-working USPB agents (Ramos and Compean) continue to rot in prison, following their wrongful prosecution by a corrupt U.S. Attorney, and conviction by a brain-dead jury, merely because they were trying to do their jobs. So yes, I agree medical care for hard-working LEOs. And, while we are at it, FREE Ramos and Compean! Go Where There is No Path...and Leave a Trail. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Brilliant. Sensitive. Patriotic. Ma-'n'-Pa inspired. (e.g., a reflexction of her upbringing) A young woman pours her heart onto a page on behalf of everyone except herself - a slefless act of truest genersoity - and receives back from Da Head Cheeze in the Oval Orrifice, what? Two things: Freakin'. Nuthin.' I trust that you have shared this outpouring of respect for her effort with your daughter.

| Posted over 4 years ago That is an excellent letter and she hits several good points. i hope that it starts a little fire up there in DC. The national recognisition that all officers deserve is long overdo. It is nice to have the Police Memorial, it is an awsome site and quite beatiful, the national police museum, incomplete, but looks to be top quality. The National Law Enforcement week events, and activities are first rate. The are all things to build upon. We officers here in this counrty are on the front lines every day or a guerrilla war. It is as violant and dangerous as any counter-insurgent war anywhere, both have rules of engaugement. Tell her to keep up the good work.

| Posted over 4 years ago You're daughter is very bright and intelligent for her age. Being a single father must be tough, I don't even know how I managed to achieve anything when I was a single mother. You're obviously doing a tremendous job. You're children are lucky to have a great father like yourself. |
