Posted 4 months ago I absolutely agree 100% with her. I mean in war, our military basically knows who the bad guy is, what weapons they might have, and at least a little info on the situation unfolding, where as Police arrive on a volitile/crazy situation with little or no info on anyone yet, and the added not knowing if its the victim or the bad guy if thier armed or not, to me thats worth medical, dental etc whatever . Our military AND police both put thier lives on the line, protect us. To me theres a saying that reminds me of our police/military and it goes " When a friend needs help, there is no tommorrow!" This should already be available to all Police- no questions/ no discussions.

Posted 2 months ago This letter was sent to hundreds of politicians.... Its sad to say that none of them seem to care. I would like to thank everyone who has replied to her letter. She still reads the replies and is still fighting for the Rights of Law Enforcement. Maybe one day she will be the politician that will get a bill passed to help Law Enforcement.

Posted about 1 month ago What an intelligent, selfless young lady! As an active duty service member, I too wondered why the benefits of military service appear to outweigh and at times overshadow the contribution of our federal, state, and local law enforcement officers. True, we protect the country's interests abroad, but I would argue the equal importance of your sacrifice everyday. The domestic threat in my opinion is just as grave and challenging, and better recognition is due. I really applaud your daughter's observation and I pray our country will one day correct this obvious oversight.

Posted about 1 month ago Dear Young Lady, My name is Kevin and I am a soldier in the United States Army, I am looking to become a police officer when I leave the service, and my brother is also a police officer. I have seen the wars through my own eyes overseas, but my brother has told me of the wars back home too. Your letter is one of the most most well written comparison of the two. Well written and well said.
