Posted over 1 year ago Well I'm gonna be completely honest here and voice my opinion!! I have tremendous respect for all of Law Enforcement from town to county to state to federal. There are thousands upon thousands of incredible officers nationwide. I totally agree with this young lady. Officers risk thier lives everyday to protect and serve. It's thier passion and thier calling and thier desire and career!!!! It's sad to say there are some that don't deserve to wear the badge. Those are the ones that need to be taken away from Law Enforcement. They abuse thier responsibilitiesand power. I can't stand a crooked cop. But aside from that Give these officers what they deserve for putting thier life on the line daily. They never know what they're gonna be facing on any given day. The world is getting worse all the time. My prayer dailly is for God to keep you guys safe so you can go home after your shift to be with your family! Be safe and alert always!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted over 1 year ago This is truly a very beautiful letter written by a very mature girl. Not only is she respectful but she demonstrates her understanding of many issues some adults don't seem to now a days. You must be proud to have raised an amazing girl like her and I tip my hat off to you for doing so. Just like your daughter points out, thank you for serving on this courageous and hardworking line of duty. Hope all is well and stay safe!

Posted about 1 year ago Wow. There's not much that I can say, other than "wow". It's rather hard to believe that came from a 10 year old. As someone said on the first page of replies, the government will never reply, which is a shame.

Posted about 1 year ago Sir you should be very proud to have a child to speak up for you and those like you in the LE community. Very well put! There are ppl out there in private security that don't have no where near as much training as LE but they still act as partners to you local, state, and federal agencies puting they're lives on the line for peanuts. The President needed to do more then sending some thank you card. A visit would've been more respected at that point. All I got to say is well done young lady! Wish there were more than just a few like you. And gonna thank you for taking care of you dad because we need and those like to care for those that don't care for themselves.

Posted 11 months ago One word... THIS! Funny how the only enumerated right that contains the phrase "shall not be infringed" suffers the heaviest regulation. I'm still trying to find where it says anything about hunting and targets.

Posted 11 months ago She makes an excellent point. When parts of a major US city are more dangerous than the combat zone in Iraq and Afganastan you really can't say that police are not warriors in the same sense as our military all of which are fighting for our freedoms.

| Posted 8 months ago What your daughter did was amazing. People twice her age could not write like that or have the courage to stand up for something like that. I know you are proud of her. I pray that I have a child as smart and brave as yours.
God Bless

Posted 5 months ago I absolutely agree 100% with her. I mean in war, our military basically knows who the bad guy is, what weapons they might have, and at least a little info on the situation unfolding, where as Police arrive on a volitile/crazy situation with little or no info on anyone yet, and the added not knowing if its the victim or the bad guy if thier armed or not, to me thats worth medical, dental etc whatever . Our military AND police both put thier lives on the line, protect us. To me theres a saying that reminds me of our police/military and it goes " When a friend needs help, there is no tommorrow!" This should already be available to all Police- no questions/ no discussions.
