Posted over 5 years ago I received this email from the hiring officer of Shelbyville PD in response to becoming a reservist: "Tyler,
well, i guess he will see me next hiring cycle... i treat this as a learning experience |

| Posted over 5 years ago Tyler, don't be discouraged. Some of my troopers had to apply and test up to four times before being accepted into the academy. |

| Posted over 5 years ago 2 of the hiring officers come into my store frequently, i am just waiting for a chance to pull them away from my employees to talk to them about what i can to better... don't want my bosses to know i am wanting to leave |

You can get lucky and in the mean time you'll be learning more and more. Take every entrance exam that you can even if you have no intentions of joining then go back an look up the information on the tests and study it. Good luck! If I did it, you can! |

| Posted over 5 years ago Buddy take it from me the first job is the toughest with no experience. Once you get it keep a clean record and a good name for yourself and you will have a great career. Just learn from your mistakes I am in my first year as a sworn officer if ya want feel free to msg me and ask anything I am more then happy to help you out. |
