If you have the right mindset, I have been doing the Velocity Diet for the last three weeks, with one week to go on Phase One.  Basically, I have ALL protein shakes for the entire week with fish oil supplements and a few others and one solid meal a week (it lasts about 3 hours).  If you do it right, you still get plenty of calories, carbs and, of course, protein.  Your cravings will definitely swing towards the clean healthy end of the spectrum.  Sugar and crap actually become repulsive.  The first week is definitely DEFINITELY rough.  I had to add a daily "cheat" of adding a tsp of Ovaltine to the vanilla shakes.  ( I would get nauseous smelling the powder in the can).  Its much better now, though.  But, with regular workouts that are short, hard and to the point, Ive dropped A LOT of fat and put on muscle.  Cop Point:  I've moved in a notch on my Sam Brown and now THAT notch is loose, whereas the first notch was tight.  In all, I've still only lost about 11 lbs, and that was in the 1st week.

100 Years from now ..... all new people !!

"how do you get rid of stomach"

Pretty much any surgeon can remove it but I think you'll find that it is essential for the digestion process, and for the removal of solid waste from the body.

OK In all seriousness I do a wide range of abs, upper (crunches sit-ups), lower (leg lifts), I do obliques either on a machine or with a rope and pully, of course cardio is going to be key to that as well because you can do crunches and sit ups all day but if you don't lose the weight around it you pretty much end up with rock hard abs under a bunch of fat like I did.

Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal.

Isaac - you look pretty young.  Like all fitness issues age has a lot to do with methodology.  Eating habits, work-out/daily activity loads, metabolism and family history all play a part.  There is a lot of great advice here but you need to get with someone who can take all this in consideration and make some recommendations.  After that it's all YOU my friend!

I'm a big fan of hcgale's advice of biking and swimming - both are excellent core activities and burn a huge amount of calories.  But it's no use to burn the calories if you are putting twice as many back in or if you're loading up on fats and sugars.  That's the hazard of the American way of life...

To get down to the nuts-and-bolts of your question - at age 51 I've been doing a thousand crunches a week for three years and my "six-pack" is only slightly visible - that's the diet part that I'm not too diligent about keeping up with.  But if your abs muscles don't show through at least a little bit then you're probably carrying too much in the middle.  So let's talk turkey... or at least find someone there locally you can talk with about setting out on a fitness life-style, eh?  Best of luck!

Excercise, watch what you eat. You also need proper motivation....see following instructions....

1.Watch a live video recording of a lipo-surgery being performed. Watch as the doctor lifts the folds of skin and "sucks" the fat of the persons ribcage, stomach, etc. Try eating a cheese burger while watching the whole thing. Then next time you want to eat something "unhealthy" remember what you watched.

2.If that dont work..have a buddy puch you in the face everytime you eat unhealty.

3. Find out what Mcdonalds really put in there burgers!!!

DO cardio 5 times a week, watch your diet, do some abs exercises, drink less alcohol, most important stay focus and motivated.

I have to agree with Turner here. I've been doing crunches like they are going out of style. I can barely see my sixpack. I found I can do all these crunches and not see anything because of my diet. (((no more french fries for me))) It's even harder if you work mids and the only choice you have for food is 7-11.

Yikes, better wear safety glasses around those suspenders, they could definitely put an eye out!

You should change your eating habits. Cut back on sugar and his carbs. And definitely drinking that has hidden calories.

exercise or not, it may also be dependent on genetics. everyone's body works differently. chemistry is not all quite the same. also why would you want to get rid of your stomach' ?  you need that for digestion. enzymes.
