Posted almost 5 years ago Hello there I've been a member of this site for about eight months now, and just recently started posting. All this time though I have been reading posts and topics, watching videos and trying to see how I would act in similar situations. I'm currently employed by the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office as a full time Detention Officer and also a member of the Sheriffs Posse which assists the deputies as being a second (ussally armed) person who has full authority while working along side a deputy, as transport, or any other duty that will free up a deputy from a mundain task. As of this post I'm assigned to our Close Custody Units for work, and as tactical off-road support for the posse aiding in off-road rescues for the medical personal. I love my work and have come to a cross road. In the next couple years I would like to either attempt to promote to a supervisor possition in my current job, or hit the streets full time. Only time will tell. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Good luck in what ever you decide. I know I would not want to work in detention, jail or prison. I'm glad there are people that want to do that and take such pride in it.

| Posted almost 5 years ago Hi Poster--Welcome to Police Link. Enjoy the site. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
