Or go to your local Hospital Emergency Room and ask them for one (or where they buy them).

Go to your local ER any nurse in the hospital will give you a whole box of mask some for you to put on while you are putting theirs on. At the hospital I work at they have givin me some and any officer that asks anything and ever kind of supply you can ask for as far as PPE and cleaning up and first aid kits.

Hospitals have some and are generally willing to give you some.

In the jails we have the spit sock masks posted above used for when ever we need one. They work, but not very well. We've had numerous inmates and prisoners spit through them once them get saturated a little bit. Also, they are very easy to chew through if the person wearing it decides to. What I've starting doing is asking the local hospitol SGs for spit masks. They use these... http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum5695.php They are much higher quality, and sturdier than the other ones. But they are kind of expensive. I carry a couple of them in my vest, and one on my duty belt for the people who have defeated the socks.

haha yes! we did that to a guy in out intake office. He though spitting on our windows and officers would be fun so we showed him how fun yanking a shirt over his face was.

I used a spitsock on a violent perp and it wasn't effective in blocking spit while transporting him to the ER.  Don't trust the Spitsock!!!!!

A molded N95 Respirator works well ... otherwise, there's the Tranzport hood from Forensic Source.  (The lower half of the hood is made out of a 'tyvek' material that cannot be saturated)

Any suggestions for decon'ing a bag that got spit all over? Can't put it in the wash cause the interior structure is hard..can't clean it with bleach cause it's black? Short of using the prisoners tongue...which would keep me in the same bind I suppose:)

if you light the bag on fire it would prob decon it pretty well.

Especially if they are still wearing it.

Try any place that puts items in plastic bags!...hint hint! Use the plastic bag! Lol I dident tell you tho!
