Come on guys...tell us what you have planned for that special lady for Mother's Day? Any really creative ideas out there, or did you just run to WalMart for roses???

WalMart Roses were $9.92 a dozen....

WalMart cards were 94 cents each.....

The fact I worked 19 hours yesterday and still thought to stop there on my way home so the kids could give their mom a gift.......priceless.

well, the day isn't over yet ... my kid could still come up with something.  I'm sure watching TV is getting her creative brain cells working..... NOT!

Walmart? You are a big spender. I went to Ralphs Market this morning before shift to get something for my girlfriend just to cover her sons butt and I had to get there early before all the packets of flower seeds were gone.

99 cents a pack. Let her grow her own. Murdering flowers should be illegal.

But seriusly folks; 3 dozen roses at Ralphs for 30 bucks. I could have gone to the range.

I don't really do anything special for holidays, with exception to Christmas.

I took my mother and grandmother out to breakfast this morning. It's was a nice decent meal....no wife or children to speak of, so I think I got off easy. lol

Got her a silver necklace w/two pearls representing our two girls along with cards.  Of course it was "from" the two girls, lol.  Going to sister in law's house after shift and having pool party and cooking out.

I had finally saved enough to get me a new 1 piece RBK 5k hockey stick. I ended up spending that and more getting my wife some damn brand name fancy pocket book her friend called and told me about. The kids loved giving it to her so I guess it was worth it.

Personally, I was impressed that he 1. got out of bed and 2. at least OFFERED to do something. He works nights. So its just nice that he made an effort. And yes, I let him go back to sleep after I took him to Lowe's and bought him guy stuff!

Mine had to work all day, so my son and I slept in then went and hit Ikea to see what we could find.  We bought her some stuff she wanted from there and then hit the grocery store to get makin's for dinner.  I bought her a sixer of hard cidar, then I grilled steak and salmon; threw potatoes with butter, rosemary and pepper in some tinfoil and threw it on the grill too; and threw garlic bread on the top rack to bake.  We finished it off with cinnamon buns from Ikea.  It was a good day.
