Camden County Deputy Jason Register was involved in an auto accident while responding to a physical domestic on 5/8/07. his vehicle flipped several times throwing him out the passenger side door/window. 3 or 4 lumbar vertebre were fractured and possibly crushed and his sternum was cracked. He is alert with movement and feeling everywhere. Thankfully another deputy was responding and was able to get to him in almost no time. He was life flighted to the local trama center and should be in surgery as of this posting. Jason is a good friend and even better cop. Please send your prayers to him and his family.

I will certainly include him in my prayers for the next while, and his family and colleagues as well. Keep us updated on his situation, okay?

Camden County... is that NJ?

Oh, sorry..Camden County, GA. Should have clearified.

He is out of suregery now and doing good. His only concern was his car. He had just put 13000 miles on it :-) Probably be going down to FL to see him again Monday after work. Try to give him some rest time and let his family be with him. Thanks for the comments and prayers!

Let him know that we are all praying for him and his family!! I know that was horrific for you all~the waiting and wondering~the not knowing! His Angels were flying close beside him and may they continue to give him strength everyday. Let us know if he needs anything...

Sorry for no updates! Jason is doing good. Said he doesn't remember much from Tuesday night to Saturday morning. He got up and walked for a minute Saturday but when he got up his knee started hurting. He went for an x-ray yesterday and they found a fracture in his right knee, nothing as bad as his back just something else to tick him off :-) He has somekind of metal cage around his chect, I guess to support his back and make sure he doesn't move too much. Neck brace is off and other minor cuts and stiching are healing well. All your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated! Keep'em coming!

He is at home now, still in a bed. Haven't seen him in a week or so, been busy! A friend of ours said he is able to get up and walk a little, with a cane. He has just joined PoliceLink, so hopefully he will find this and post up himself!

That's great to hear he is home. We'll continue our prayers, too-- and I hope we'll "meet" him sometime here at PoliceLink.

Well...more bad news. Jason is back in Shands in ICU. He started having chest pains, I think on Monday, went to the doctor Tuesday and they found 2 blood clots in his lungs and 1 in his leg...once he was stable I knew he could pull through the physical theropy and surgeries, but this is serious. Anyway, just thought I would up date. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers guys!

a wise man once told me...."Reputation is what Men say about you on your Tombstone........Character is what Angels say about you before The Throne of God"......I am sure the Angels are bugging the Almighty with their daily reports on Jason, lets keep hearing positive things and lets hear that His right hand of divine strenght and protection will cover our brother Jason....hang in there brother...we're with you...

Sorry for no updates, my home computer crashed! Jason should be back home as of this posting. They put him on a LOT of blood thinners to get rid of the clots. I saw him Sunday and he was in good spirits. He is looking forward to physical theropy and hopefully being able to get back to work!
