When I first became a LEO I worked with a really great bunch and I still do. Anyway, when began my career I always heard from these guys "once your in this job for about 10 years you will hate it and wonder why you had wasted your life doing this job". Well, I have been a LEO for 18+ years and I still love what I do. I truely have no regrets getting into LE.

A blood transfusion wouldn't help. Once in, your hooked. Like crack to a crackhead. It's living reality tv everyday. Hook, line, and sinker........

I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best professionals that anyone could ever ask for. I consider myself lucky to have been able to learn from some of the officers. The most giving and dedicated professionals are wearing badges I love working with these people, they are the reason I stay in this line of work for the brother/sisterhood

I can honestly say "NO". I thought I would be. My husband has even told me that my attitude really hasn't changed since the time I started in LE.

Probably, the realization that you can only help the people that are ready to be helped was an eye opener

SPSGT11, your right I really didn't think about that. Until they came out with the Domestic Violence Act, I would show up at a Domestic and couldn't take the asshole in unless the complaintant wanted charges filed.

A lil' bit but not as much as some of the ones with more time on. They tell me I'll get it sooner or later... I dunno...

But despite the migrane I currently got from my first post... i'm still loving my job. I come back day after day. Sometimes I think this jail couldn't run without me! LOL
