I am currently a sworn Police Officer working as a dispatcher. I am looking for a change in scenery. Anybody know of dispatching jobs available in their neck of the woods? I make ok $$$, but this place is sucking the life out of me. I've tried 911hotjobs, but half the time their postings are old and I am not to keen on heading out west.

Any help or ideas are much appreciated.

Denise

Did you ever consider working for a University? Lower, not so stressful, call volumes. Our PCO's make about $15.00 an hour, but have excellent benifits, time off, and free tuition for themself and immediate family. I see you're in Detroit; take a look at the Indianapolis area. I hear it's a good area to work.

Go practice falling down, I'll be there in a minute

Yikes, talk about a pay cut. My problem is not the call colume. That I can handle. I almost thrive on it. It's all the political b.s. I realize it is everywhere, but this crap is way too old. Thank you for the idea though. A university may not be so old, but if I'm moving out of state, I'd like the same pay.
