Do you struggle with your weight day after day? Does it effect your duties and productivity? Do you ever fear that your department will implement a physical fitness standard? What would you do?

Nope, although after my pregnancy I had to work extra harder to look good and feel good, I weigh right around 127, not bad. I guess though no matter what you weigh you will never be satisfied, I feel and look healthy.

It's been a battle for me too but one I work at damn near everyday. We have to maintain a standard of 45 pushups in a minute, 45 situps in a minute and around 13:00 mile and a half run. It goes by age too, younger have to do a bit better.

I've hit an all time high of 165. I'm not happy about it. 5 years ago I was in the 130's. I was still chunky but I'm more bothered by it now. Sadly, I'll get in spurts where I run and do some weights and then I just quit. Motivation is a serious issue for me. I swear I need a live in PT. I need someone to force me to quit eatting junk. When I get doing good on my own, something knocks me back again.

Even worse... I HATE AB WORK... but honestly, I think that may be the only thing that'll get rid of this stomach. I don't care about anything but the stomach yet, I hate doing the things to help it. ARGH! And screw the diet plans saying no carbs or eat nothing! Won't take diet pills cuz hear too many bad things. I know generally what I need to do but... why can't I just do it???

However, I'm not bad enough to be an issue at work. I guess some folks think I'm average to slightly obese. ::: shruggs ::: 5'3" to 165 lbs... anyone wanna kick my ass back into shape for me? LOL!

I am small now, but it wasn't always that way. I lost alot of weight due to a family member having cancer.
I maintain that loss,,,,it's going to sound weird,,,but I munch ice.....(sonic ice is the best !)....if you have sensitive teeth just hold it in your mouth till it melts...
It's a lil odd, but it works ......

Yeah, I've heard that... but I've yet to travel there. Once I attempted a travel to Arlington in search of a Jamba Juice and that ended up badly without ever finding the blasted place. I hate being accustomed to certain things then when you move, you don't have what you desire! LOL

I mean really... who would ever thought that I'd miss Jack in the Crack's Sourdough Combo!

Weight's an ongoing, on-again/off-again problem for me. I need to exercise a lot to stay where I want to be, but have not been doing well with that in the last year, due to some bone spurs in my shoulder. I do try to walk a lot.

Weightwatchers has been the most effective thing for me to lose weight or maintain goal weight-- it's simple enough and flexible enough to work with all my meetings over meals, eating out, and other pitfalls of many other weightloss schemes.

I DONT LIKE THIS TOPIC... IT MAKES ME HUNGRY! lol!

The best thing for weight lose is a proper diet and for your abs when you watch tv during the commercials start knocking them out start with a small number and work your way up. I wouldnt recommend doing a crash diet cause you will put the weight back on plus some. Try to snack on fruit or vegetables through out the day and start packing your lunch so you arent tempted with the unhealthy foods

I'm not considered over-weight but I think I could lose a few. I've had the yo-yo syndrome (up and down wgt.) most of my life. Try to find someone to diet with. Right now at work one of the woman I talk to the most makes all these little containers with things like nuts and vegetables to pick on at work. I make a point to eat a lot more vegetables and fruit from being around her. We weigh close to the same but she looks really thin. I weigh about 120 but feel the most comfortable at about 110-116. We get on the scale at work about once a week and it keeps me from getting too lazy about gaining wgt., unlike this website that's made me run to my refrigerator a few times.

You probably need to find someone that's serious about losing. The woman I work with is very weight concious. Lately we've also been walking on our breaks too. One problem with this is when we leave work we both start talking about how hungry we are. She's really thin so that keeps me competitive.

I'm 5'10 and weigh about 136 lbs. I've been trying for about 4 years to gain weight but I've only gotten about 10 lbs. I've been told it'll catch up to me when I don't want it to. So I hear it's easier to put on muscle than it is to turn fat into muscle.

I hate being so light though, although it does mean I don't have to bench as much.
