how old do i have to be to put a restrainng order on somebody?
is there even an age limit?

Depends on the local law. A restraining order issued by a judge, or depending on the location, a local official like a magistrate, applies to anyone of any age. There should be someone you can call and ask.

Right depending on the law. Here you have to have a police report filed before you can get a restraining order issued.

There is no age limit, but it is easier for a man to get one and have it enforced. I heard a Judge Lawrence tell a victim to serve her armed and dangerous stalker in person! She refused and the judge dismissed the case! The judge told her that she just should have spread her legs and taken it. The Sheriff's department and the PPB were shocked! I was sick at that! Women have no rights in Portland OR. The PPB's hands are tied!

Some Judges in our area have told opposing parties to have no contact which will usually apply to juveniles. Restraining orders are for grown folks.

whaa???.....we have victims advocates down here in AL. who are begging for women to report their abusive husbans or "stalkers"...whatever you call it. that sounds very odd. to be happening in America
