Posted over 2 years ago This was a debate a couple of buddies and I had, and I though I would extend it too you, my fellow Warriors. So here it is: Glock 21, H&K or a Kimber or other 1911 type, which .45 do you prefer? Stay Safe Warriors! Ed O'Shea |

| Posted over 2 years ago On duty, My glock 21 SF, off duty Kimber 1911.. HK is fun but a little bit too big for my hand. All thats is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. |

| Posted over 2 years ago I pick the 1911 over any other choice, personally. For department issue, however, we chose the 45 cal HK USP. This has been a great pistol for us, so far. I am leery of training all officers with a single action auto pistol. The average officer/shooter does not train often enough to be safe with a s/a pistol. I am just not a fan of Glocks...not sure why, as I have owned one, but I never really took to it. "You can't lead from behind" Gen'l James Longstreet, CSA |

| Posted over 2 years ago It all depends if you want it to work, or just look pretty. If you need to shoot someone, right now with no worry of misfire, Glock. I recently did some training where we had to start fighting, go to the ground, then draw and fire, all while still fighting full out. That really opened my eyes about my choice of guns. Before that, I was a Kimber guy hands down. After seeing all the 1911's misfire, glad I had a Glock. No offense guys, but you did ask. |

| Posted over 2 years ago Jack60 said: None taken, however my Kimber has been in my thigh rig for every SWAT callout I've ever been on and is the pistol I shoot in IDPA competition. It's had it's share of rolling around on the ground, in the mud, and in the water. Guess how many malfunctions I've had with it after close to 10,000 rounds...ZERO. I'm wondering if poor maintenance was responsible for what you witnessed. You are clearly better than everyone, our safety and the laws should be of no concern to you. MODERATOR #6 |

| Posted 18 days ago Carried a S&W 645 for a year, hated it. Been carrying a 1911 combat elite for almost 18 years and love it. Glock is too fat even with my big hands. Kimber is too nice to F-up on duty. HK is too expensive for me. |

| Posted 9 days ago I would have to say with those choices ide go with the Kimber 1911 Warrior its a great weapon. But, I must say I would put my SA XD .45ACP up against any of the ones you asked about and not be worried at all |

| Posted 3 days ago This is what I have been carrying as a Reserve.
Great gun, but between people coming up to tell me "excuse me Officer but your pistol is cocked" and the fact that the full time guys have G21s I am switching to a brand new G21SF with a TLR-2 and 10-8 sights. Qualed with the new gun and shot the same score (300/300) as with the Kimber so its all good. |

Actually, its a TLE that I had some work done on. I added a YB rear sight, Ed Brown Beaver tail, SA mag well, VZ grips, a Dawson light rail, removed the full length guide rod and had it refinished. But you are right, the Warrior is a damn good gun. |
