I was on a public intoxication call with a guy that was being beligerant with officers on our approach. At this time we were separated by a small 4' metal fence. When I went to jump over and contact him, with about 20 of his buddies outside watching, I clipped my foot on the fence and went face first into the mud....grrr "I lost serious cool points after that:)"

There was one video of a cop pulling over a car for turning the wrong way and when he got behind the car ..his car was rolling into the street. Keep us non police citizens wondering what can happen. Life happens but just smile. :)

Hmmm...how about the time I walked in on my boss (male) and the desk sergeant (female) "getting acquainted". Or the other time I had to investigate my boss's computer due to the fact he had been surfing male porn sites. He lived right next to me and his wife wouldn't speak to me like she was mad at me! Or the time I had to go to a wife's house and ask permission to search the home because her husband had just been busted for coke. They were both friends. That's when I get embarassed, when I end up being placed in a position that I can't turn my back on and it's someone I know.

My wife called me "The "Village Idiot" once. That was until I asked her "What do you call the person that marries "The Village Idiot" ?

Couldv'e got killed. Here is the dumb situation. Went on a suicidal subject call. Guy walking around with a Desert Eagle. There was about 6 of us searching for him. After about an hour, another officer and myself went to the apartment of the guy and his girlfriend. The door was locked. The other officer asked if he had a key and she said no. So, she unlocked the door and inside we went. Now just prior to going in to the apartment I got goosebumps and the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. The Responding went in with no gun drawn. I didn't say anything, dumb mistake number 1. I had my weapon drawn and as the RO made a huge wide turn around the dividing wall to the dining room, I knew he saw the guy. I swung around the corner and saw the guy sitting at the dining room table with his hands under the table. I had my gun pointed at his head. To make a long story short, he had a Desert Eagle pointed right at me under the table. Could've popped me in a second. I couldn't see it. Anyway, We disarmed him real fast, but whew!!! THe whole thing was a tactical disaster!!!!! The other officer and myself talk about to this day.
