    Updated my review 11/1/07

It's been a great car, but it's only got 24,700 miles and it has a vibration at 90+mph. The rotors sqeal driving down the street and the dealer told me that there is a "notice" out that says that their is no fix for the rotors squealing. Now the brakes are grinding and I've gotta take it to the shop. The car's fast, but I have my doubts about it holding up.

Fun car to drive but with the V-6, it's just too underpowered for a patrol car. The V-8 is the only way to go. We also had a lot of electrical issues with about 8 of the 22 in the fleet.

I own a 06 Charger R/T and it is absolutely awsome to drive. It has a good size trunk for equipment, good gas mileage (for a V-8), comfortable interior.

I have the V6 version, and it is OK. It went up to 130MPH chasing down a violator and it got there in a reasonable amount of time. The seats are built to last, unlike some of the Crown Vics that I have had.

The big negative on this vehicle is the trunk. We need full size spares, and that 18 inch wheel and tire takes up way too much room in the trunk. Another con is how squirrelly it is on slick roads. It is far too light in the rear end.

After driving this for my first winter I was very pleased on how it handled. The ESP function was great for keeping control on the slick roadways. Handles much better than anyother police package car I've driven.

I have an 07 Charger V8 package - It is very fast and handles excellent an looks awesome, however, I dont like the way that I shifts gears, it seems slow to act when you need to shift quickly . Also, we are having problems with the rotors squeeling (they have been replaced twice already) I miss the room that my Ford had vs. the Dodge. I'd have to say that I'd problably rather have my Crown Vic back.

I have an 06 charger with a v-6 (unfortunately). Still I have been able to outrun crown vics with the v-8's and it does look sharp. The rotors are my major beef. They can't keep from squealing no matter what you do. I have never had any transmission problems and me eye-witness dvd camera fits perfect into the over head. The car runs like it's on rails and handles like a dream. All-in-all its a good car, but I still wish my city would have gotten me the V-8!

My department has the V8. These accelerate up a 50 degree hill like they were on flat ground. I cannot fault the things for power or speed. That being said they're not much good when they're in the shop, which is a lot. It can't chase bad guys if it's broken down. Also, I can't even imagine this as a cage car. It's pretty uncomfortable to transport in the back seats without a cage - with one a lot of people simply would not fit. Then there is the matter of the shotgun case in the trunk...

I have a 2008 Charger with the V-8. This is the sexiest looking car I have ever seen. We have a California paint package, tinted windows and a Manic, full wrap around push/pit manuver bumper on the front. The console is a slanted console. The heater controls are moved to the console. This allows for tilt on the computer and a lowered section for a dual cup holder. This gives more room and comfort to the driver. The power and handling is phenomenal. As far as transporting prisoners and a cage, we have a 2006 in the fleet with a full cage and yes it is crammed. To alleviate this problem all oterh cars 2006-present have a half cage. This gives plenty of room for extra storage.
