This is my service weapon of choice and it is the most accurate handgun I have ever fired. The DAO feature is good because you have a smoothe trigger pull everytime and with the heavy slide the recoil is not much more than a 9mm. I have no trouble hitting my target with this weapon. I carry it faithfully. Thank you Beretta!

Well I do not share my good friend and partners taste for this weapon, the DAO trigger pull is hellish to say the least, other than that it is an extremely nice weapon, maybe with a nice trigger job it can be tamed.

On the good side, this is a very accurate and reliable handgun. In the double action only version, it is one of the most accurate handguns I have ever fired. With the right load, you can hit a man sized target at 100 yards.
Negatives are the large size and weight of this gun. It is not that easy to conceal, because of it large size.
I have carried it on duty and trust it with my life. I just wish it were lighter.- Flag as inappropriate

First service weapon, a little large but it was the first weapon I carried on duty.

After carrying a Glock 17 as my duty weapon, I was forced to carry this hog leg. Other than being a .40 cal., nothing else about it impressed me. The pistol weighed too much, the trigger travel was too long, trigger pull was too much, and it was not an automatic like my beloved Glock. My score at the range went down with the Beretta 96 Brigadier.
