I have a custom version of this rifle. This is my sniper rifle. Using Match Grade Ammo I shoot sub-MOA groups all day long. I've never experienced a malfunction with this rifle or factory magazines. I have a comfort zone with AR style rifles. The bonus is clearly the .308 round.

VERY GOOD ,BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY GROOP. I LIKE A SNIPER RIFLE TO BE MUCH LONGER AND A VERY BIG SCOPE

I am issued a Remington 700PSS with a 3.5x14 Leupold scope as my primary sniper rifle, but found that it is too much scope for most of our urban areas. I am also issued a short barreled DPMS M-16, but found that the 556 was insufficient for barrier penetration. For the past two years I have been using a DPMS AR-10 (LR380AP4) that was built to by specs by the folks at DPMS. I mounted an ACOG atop the rifle and it has done everything that I have asked, including maintaining sub-MOA accuracy and 100% reliability (when clean and using Federal 165grain Tactical ammo). I love this gun!

Have this rifle for personal use. Got a great deal on it from a friend in DPMS. Its an amazing rifle and easy to customize to your likeing. I have a Leupold 3x9x40 on it and have no issues hiting what I need too. Also has a flutted teflon coated barrel with a free floating hand guard, skeletonized butt stock. Love it.

Does yours have the 24 inch barrel? as a matter of fact, they offer so many barrel configs, i think it is very hard to beat them(DPMS) hands down, they almost guarantee sub moa groups with a decent barrel . Just remember that it is important to try not to fire off too many rounds at one time with one as it will detune a match grade barrel, (I know most of you know that) but if you buy it new, got a decent scope, and spend a few minutes between shots sighting it in, they are pretty damn accurate

This is "the man." This rifle will bring you home. When you get into the "mess" the 308 is big enough to do the job and with the assortment of Hornady TAP ammo you can't go wrong. I replace the front pin sight with a KNS crosshair sight, added an Eotech, and it will not let you down. Recoil is minimal. For extreme the key is shoot a bullet with a big enough lead. Don't go small, go big and get the job done!
