I have just purchased this XD-9 9mm standard pistol with HiCap magazines. As soon as I shoot and qualify with it, I intend on carrying it as a duty weapon. I will update this posting in the future.

Great weapon and very reliable. I have shot mine alot and have not run into a jam. The XD's are very smooth weapons and are way more balanced than a Glock.

Another great Springfield. Very accurate, smooth, dependable and user friendly. Springfield is put through the same testing as Glock. I own three .The 9xd, the subcompact 9xd and the 45 tacticalxd. I wouldnt take anything for them. However, this is for the Glock fans. I love my glock also.

Dept issued side arm, shoots great and is easy to handle. I will purchase one in both 9mm and 45acp

I bought this XD model for duty use after retiring my 18 year old Glock 19. Overall this weapon has a better feel than the Glock and every officer who has fired it on the range raves about it.

Have this in the Bi-Tone. Great gun to shoot and looks great too. No problem qualifying as a novice shooter. Shot a 108 my 1st time out in the Academy. Consistantly shot around the same.

The only bad thing I can say about this gun is that duty holsters are hard to come by. My department issued these, but we were using Uncle Mike Pro 3 holster for a Glock. The fit was OK, but not great. The XD shoots great out of the box and I have not had any issues with it in 4 years.

This is a nice weapon but I am not a big fan of the double safety.

I have the .40 cal subcompact for my CCW. Reliable, smooth action, and nicely balanced. The only 'bad' thing regards the accessories - the XD Gear holster is high riding and floppy, making me look like an extra from Jaws.

I wanted a Glock but I bought one of these after feeling it in my hand. It was such a perfect fit and very reliable. Not too small but small enough to carry concealed. I love it. I wouldn't trade it for a Glock. I still want one but this would be my primary.

I purchased this gun 6 months ago. My decision was based on the fact I held a Glock 17 and the XD side by side and when I brought them up on target, the XD was dead on and the Glock's nose was pointed down a bit. At the range, the XD was dead on!!!

This is a great gun! Easy to field strip, accurate, reliable, and fairly priced.

Excellent gun. I would carry this one on duty but they don't let me. Very accurate, not too bad recoil.

A couple of guys at my Dept. carry these. Both have been back to the factory for some reason or another. They had to send them back for a simple reapair part that they would not send you.

Purchased my xd9 just over a year ago. Was prodded by a Glock nut (friend of mine). Thought my Colt1911 A1 was the 'IT Gun' in my slight collection and was considering a Glock 19, but this Springfield landed in my hand like it was custom fit just for me! Perfect presentation, smooth trigger pull and dead on the mark. The gun has almost no recoil, at least in my opinion, and quick recovery. I've put approx 2,500 rounds (all types) down the pipe and never 1 problem. Alot of gun for any price and I snagged this, basically new, for 4 bills. My hat's off to Springfield!!!
