Description:

Due to their light weight and convenience, Zytel® handled lockbacks have gained enormous popularity over somewhat heavier, traditional lockbacks with metal bolsters and wooden scale handles. Our Voyager® Series represents the definitive generation of these ultra-light knives, a line of folders that are sure to be the standard by which others are judged for years to come! The Voyager® folders are, ounce for ounce, far stronger than 99% of our competitor’s folders. They feature precision milled and hand fitted parts with extra stiff springs, providing a lock that is super reliable, yet requires little maintenance and is easy to keep clean. The blades are extremely wide and ground thin at the edge for tremendous shearing potential. This thin edge allows us to hone the blade to astounding sharpness. Plus, the cutting surface is continuously curved along its entire length for the most efficient possible slicing action. Because of the high carbon content in the stainless steel, you’ll find that the sharpness really lasts a surprisingly long time. If you like serrations, you’ll really appreciate our exclusive pattern. It offers the aggressive ripping action of serrated teeth, but with a twist. Our design features groups of very small teeth separated by wide, shallow arcs. This results in the benefits of both a plain and a serrated edge, so that the knife still cuts smoothly through almost any material. The Voyager® Series offers all the advantages of the latest in lockback construction technology including lightning-quick one-handed opening, light weight and strength. The result is an appealing look with very modern styling. Every detail has been designed for maximum performance from the reinforced pivot pin and stainless steel pocket clip, to the grooved thumb shelf on the back of the knife for extra traction. The Zytel® handles are somewhat oval shaped in cross-section, increasing strength and stiffness. Yet, the handle doesn’t feel or appear thicker due to the subtly contoured design. Zytel® is unparalleled as a handle material, as it doesn’t contract or expand in heat or cold, and has an advantage over metal handled knives in that it won’t become scratched or discolored with heavy use. As tools, these lightweight, super sharp knives are appropriate in almost any environment from hunting and camping, to hiking and general utility chores. They can also readily fill specialty functions such as a boat or river knife, a chute knife or demanding police/survival/rescue applications.

Absolutely amazing knife! I have several Cold Steel knives, but this is by far my favorite. The 4" plain-edged Voyager can cut through anything! Great knife for cutting through boxes, paper, seat belts, etc. I have yet to find something that it can't manage to rip through. Cold Steel offers a free DVD off of their website that shows what their knives can do...just go to http://www.coldsteel.com and request it. You'll see the power of not only the Voyager but all of their amazing knives.

Some of the best knives I have seen in the industry. You can actually do pull ups on these.

Don't care too much for the blade configuration but the handle (Zytel) makes it easy for you to get it out of your pocket without bringing the pocket with you.

Great knife and typically easy to open with the flick of the wrist. Comes in the 2", 4", and 6" blade versions.

This knife comes out of the box with a very sharp cutting edge. It's light weight and sturdy construction make it an excellent choice for on or off-duty carry. I got mine for a little over $50, proving you don't have to pay a lot for a great knife.

I got my cold steel knife about a month ago and so far I am extremely happy with it. I would definitely recomend it for other people. It is the most well made and sharp knife I have ever had.

I've owned MANY cold steel blades and love them for the most part. My only issue is that on the tanto blades, many times the blade chips easily where the straight edge of the blade meets the angled portion of the blade.

I carried the 4" Tanto Voyager for a long time and was very satisfied. Quality steel, excellent construction and light weight. Takes a razor edge and maintains it. Can be abused without blade or lock failure. Clip position makes this a tip-down carry which is good for the right-handers carrying it on weak side. Mine was lost but will be replaced soon.

After over 9 years of constant patrol, this awesome tool still hasn't lost its razor edge! So light you might forget it's there for you, so respect-demanding when brought into play. It will slice through seat belts almost like they aren't there.

You can bring a knife to a gun fight but it has to be dependable. This one is. Close contact is usually an option and when they're trying to grab your gun, you have an option.

I have the full serrated version and I carry it 24/7. This is a great knife. Stays sharp and virtually indestructible. Can handle just about any knife task. If I ever lose it I will seek out another immediately.

I bought this knife approximately 12 years ago as a Patrolman. The knife as proven it's self time and time again. The knife being slim and light weight makes it very easy to carry on duty. I still carry the knife every day on duty. When it is time to replace the knife. I will purchase the same knife

I own many knives and I prefer "Cold Steel" overall. The Voyager Tanto half serrated is my favorite tactical folder. has retained its edge for many years now and feels good in my hand. Left pocket, right pocket doesn't matter. Easy open and fast.
