Great gun in that you will carry it everywhere instead of leaving it in your car or desk drawer. It's so light you can clip it to your jogging shorts. KelTec's customer service is unbeatable. I had an issue with the pistol, and they fixed it free of charge and turned it back around to me in under a week. It's functioned flawlessly since.

I used to own one of these, until a f@#$ing burglar got it, and loved it. I was suprised how accurate it was for such a small gun. I really like the optional belt clip that I had on mine. You could put it in pants pocket and it only looked like a pocket knife. No need to have your shirt untucked. Awesome weapon, plan on buying another.

As a gunsmith, I have seen nothing but low quality and cheap materials with Kel Tec. I'll give it one star since it's a good first gun and allows you to practice trigger squeeze and safely clearing malfunctions. Other than that, I would not trust my life to this firearm whether it be for backup or home defense.

very concealable, even in shorts. I have the clip to make it easier to carry. Buy some really hot ammo and your set!

I carry mine off duty everywhere I go. It’s small enough to keep right in your front pocket or a jacket picket and it’s so light that it does not weigh you down. Personal protection with minimum discomfort.

This is a great little pistol for those close and personal issues. I wouldn't want it for anything beyond 20 feet, if that far, however my friend swears by his. I went out and bout the P3-AT in the .380 caliber and enjoy it just as much.

My Dept. has approx. 70 Officers who used to carry this weapon. I would estimate that 70% of them malfunctioned at least once during a 16 round course of fire- every time. One officer bragged that he had not had a single malfunction in 1000 rounds fired... 3 rounds later his frame bent and locked the slide to the rear permanently. I'm still pushing to get this weapon removed from the approved weapon (backup) list. The one star I gave is because their customer service is second to none.

I have owned 3 KelTecs, the 1st was in the now discontinued .40S&W, the 2nd in .32cal and currently have the 3AT in .380cal. Only complaint, the .40S&W was a little uncomfortable to shoot. Have never had a FTF or FTE issue and have been impressed with thier accuracy. I never leave home without mine.

This is a good gun. It is lightweight and reliable, you can carry it anywhere. I clip mine into my shorts when I go for a run. It also has a good capacity for its size at 7+1. The only drawbacks are its heavy recoil (being as it is so light) and its heavy trigger pull. My wife thought it would be a good gun for her and due to those two factors she would not have been able to hit the ground with it if it were not for gravity. Its good for a backup gut gun, but nothing over 7 yards.

This is a somewhat reliable gun. I have had magazine feed issues; however that could also be an ammo issue. I slip this in a wallet holster for off duty in the summer in a pair of shorts.

I guess it depends on when it was made; I had problems with HPs but not FMJ and talked to a guy who had problems with FMJ and not HP. Crazy, but I really like this as a back up and off duty. The only addition I would like to see is a safety, but that's one more thing to catch on your pocket or poke you when you sit.

Not a fun gun to shoot, but great for females who have an especially difficult time concealing a weapon under close fitting clothing.
