The Springfield Armory XD 45 Tactical is an excellent weapon. 13 + 1 capacity. Has all the same safety features as Glock pistols as well as a grip safelty, and, as of 2008, has an optional thumb safety available. The XD pistols have the same grip alignment as a 1911 which I considor superior. They can withstand as much or more abuse as comparable firearms. Trigger is excellent, and the grip is not at all abnoxious as with many double- stack 45's. You would have to hold it to appreciate it. A pleasure to fire and carry. Would love to hear feedback.
