| Description: | ASP Tactical Handcuffs provide a major advance in both the design and construction of wrist restraints. Frame geometry is the result of extensive computer modeling and simulation analysis. Strength potential has been maximized through use of an interlocking, unitized frame. The cuff structure is forged from high strength stainless steel on custom built, high speed, progressive dies. Each restraint is then overmolded with ordnance grade polymer under 75 tons of pressure. The Lock Assembly is unitized and replaceable. The Tactical Handcuff was designed in the field. Input came from officers and instructors in the 60 nations where ASP currently conducts training. As a result, this ASP design incorporates the practical features most requested by officers on the street. A stainless steel handcuff that weighs less than standard designs. A flat contact bow improves application. Complex “keyhole up” training procedures are no longer necessary. There is a keyway and double lock slot on each side of each restraint. A double lock warning bar is readily visible. Both double and single locks are released by turning the key in a single direction. The frame geometry, deep set teeth and precision smooth action eliminates the need for back loading. Color coding of restraints is now possible. Custom colors are available for agencies, divisions or to designate the security threat of subjects. Lock Assemblies are readily replaced. |

I love my ASP cuffs. I did have to buy a new cuff case for them to fit properly, but these are lighter weight than traditional cuffs and they have locks on both sides. I carry the pink cuffs, but they come in several different colors, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, and of course PINK!!!

The ASP cuffs are great, lightweight, and durable. I am much quicker applying them than any other cuffs; because they are smooth and I don't have to look for the key hole.

I have the black ASP's and love them. I just ordered the pink ones yesterday .. I have pink under armour that everyone picks on, so I had to have the pink cuffs to match. I found the cuffs at www.cuffs4cops.com for $28.95, much better price than I have found elsewhere. Also they will engrave them for free !

I have the black pair (post recall) and they are great you don't have to worry in a scuffle where the keyhole is. The Pink ones are especially nice for those "thug" type you take to the jail. The Jail staff look real interested in seeing those cuffs come in on a "macho man"

I recieved these as a gag gift from my Fiance' but they arelight weight, strong, and easy to find in the bottomlessness of my bag. Yes, they are PINK and someone told me that havecuffs are NOT pink, but with women in increasing numbers in LE jobs, WHY NOT?! I think that they are KOOL and they hook people up like the other cuff do. Who cares?

I have a pair of black hinged ASP cuffs and i like them a lot. The only thing I say negative about them is that you have to get a new cuff case for them because they won't fit in any other cuff case.

Lightweight, fast on/off, and better to put on guys with big wrists... plus they look cool and high tech! Only problems: they don't make a clarino (glossy) case for them yet. But my Sgt wouldn't let me carry them anyway 'cause "they're not dept. issued" (he's big on policy!!)...

I think that ASP had a GREAT idea when they came out with these handcuffs. I liked the idea of having keyholes on both sides, BUT they definitely lost me when they came out with some fruity ass colors.

I carry a set of these off duty (in black, not pink). They work great and don't make that "clinking" noise when they are sitting in a back pocket. I wear em for training, too, as the beveled edges are more comfortable during on and off repetition exercises.

this product is extremely dangerous my pair is dusty hanging in my locker... I tried to arrest a perp who decided to resist, the cuff went around the wrist but because of the struggle, the arm twisted outside the locking mechanism, something that never happened with hiatts or s&w. I thought the cuffs were on and they weren't.. could have been dangerous. I sent an email to asp with photos and got no response.

I have a set of the bue ones that I received as a Christmas gift. I also received the special sized case for the cuffs. They do not fit properly in standard cuff cases. Therefore, I only use the cuffs when in Class B's. Most of the time they actually hang on my spotlight handle.

I bought my wife a pair for Valentines Day and she just LOVES them. They are lightweight, the lock operates smoothly and they are rugged. The only down side is that they do not fit into a standard cuff case, so If you decide to buy some, make sure that you get the cuff case to go with them. I got a deal and the case was included in the price. It had a small pocket in the back that holds a cuff key that also came along with it. Great purchase as long as you don’t forget your cuff case.

Pink handcuffs have no business in PROFESSIONAL law enforcement. I understand women can utilize pink, but to have a sharp colored blue or black uniform, with a black rig, and than these bright ass pink cuffs??? What about safety??? Just as soon strap on a neon light at night saying, bullseye....shoot here!!! I think its disrespectful to the uniform and should not be worn. There is also an openly proud homosexual police officer working in a nearby city who wears a pair of pink cuffs. PINK CUFFS on a male patrolman???? He should get his ass kicked by the perps. I'm sorry, I say NO to the pink!!!!!

I have had the black ASP hinged and chain handcuffs for about two years now. These cuffs are, in my opinion, the best type of handcuff offered to date. When applied, these cuffs go on the subject with ease; they have absolutely no "sticking" effect when applied. My ASP's look like they have been through hell and back. They have come flying off of my duty belt while in a foot pursuit across a busy road (damn one strap holster) and slid on the ground about fifty feet; a car also ran them over in the same incident. In light of that happening, the cuffs work as if they are brand new. ASP makes the key and double lock accessible on both sides of the cuff so you don't have to worry about having the subject bend forward anymore to unlock the cuffs (that is if you were to apply cuffs in a hurry or improperly of course). I definitely recommend these handcuffs for anyone to buy!

great cuff! i use them as my primary for all arrests. i've had them for about 2 and a half years, and have never had a problem. the key holes on both sides are great. they allow quick cuffing and eliminate putting yourself at risk when you try to lock or unlock a backwards cuff on an uncooperativearrestee. i recommend them for everyone! only gripe is that you have to buy the bigger case. this is worth it though.

I wear these pretty pink cuffs on a daily basis! I've arrested several and put these pink bracelets on them, especially the guys! It humbles them real quick. I'm the only one in the department that has these and they're easy to identify what set of cuffs are yours. I also carry the black pair. I know our jail uses the colors too. A different color, different status. I really love that the keyhole is on either side so you don't have to think about which way the cuffs go. You can focus more on your job in securing a prisoner that wondering if you put them on correctly!
