Reacting to many requests from the marketplace for a subcompact SIG SAUER pistol, engineers designed the new P238 as a smart looking, small handgun built with the same accuracy and reliability as large frame SIG SAUER pistols. With an overall length of just 5.5 inches a height of 3.96 inches, and weighing just under a pound, the SIG SAUER P238 is the ultimate firepower in an all metal frame concealed pistol. The P238 is built on an anodized alloy beavertail style frame with fluted grips for comfort and a secure hold during rapid-fire usage. The stainless steel slide features the popular SIG SAUER slide serrations and improves overall performance and accuracy. Additionally, the contrast or SIGLITE® Night Sights are removable and adjustable for windage. The sear and trigger return spring are redesigned to prevent spring over-ride of the ejector during assembly. Two finishes are available; Two-tone and corrosion resistant Nitron®. The new SIG SAUER P238 is shipped in a lockable hard case with one 6 round magazine at an MSRP starting at $543.00 for the Nitron® with contrasting sights.

This gives you the great product reputation produced by Sig and its small enough to fit in your pocket. It truly is the best in its class. Feels and shoots like the Colt Mustang.

This sweet little gun cost me $399 in all black with SigLite sights (LE discount). Great carry gun, though my shots were all to the left a few inches. A friend who bought the same gun had the same problem. Same goes for everyone who shoots the gun. So I contact Sig and ask if they make a sight tool adapter for the tiny slide. I was told to use a hammer and punch, as no tool is available. Another problem is that .380 ACP ammo is in ridiculous short supply. EVERYONE is out of stock, and as of Jan 25, 2010 the estimated availability date of Hydra Shok .380 ammo is AUGUST 2010!!!

just picked one up for $600.00 bit pricey for .380 but its a Sig. i was told Sig purchased the patent rights for Colt Mustang. feels and acts like a colt. in fact Mustang mags will fit and work in P238. i got the two tone version with very nice wood grips. i really like the nite sights, there aren't too many .380's with nite sights. compact and easy to carry. i use as my back up and off duty weapon.

This is gun is very small but extremely accurate. Mine has been dependable with various JHP and FMJ ammo. You can drop is weapon in your pocket and not notice the extra weight. Excellent backup and off duty pistol. Costs more than some, but this is Sig quality.

I just purchased this gun and I love it! It is small, but very accurate and for a woman, ideal for proper concealment.

While I have the HD all Stainless version, and it's a little heavy, it's small enough for almost any concealment, and being a Sig, it's as reliable as one can get. Easy to shoot for a sub compact .380.....and it has pretty much the same "controls" as a 1911. Very Nice Pistol with SigLite Night Sights included.
