Our department just went to these from the P229 .40 cal. We have added the Streamlight M6 tac lite/laser. They have been really nice except you have to have special holsters for the attachment and due to the hammer.

i carry this on-duty with 17 round magazines. the 17 rounds make it a little heavier but worth it, in case the need arises.

Heavy! But the weight it worth it. I have never been a fan of Double Action Only pistols, but after shooting this and carrying it for over a year....I am sold. The 226 DAK changed it all for me...and this is one accurate and reliable pistol.

Love this gun!!!! Never had problems with it; it always goes boom! Fits GREAT in the hand! Most accurate handgun I've shot. Only complaint is the lack of holsters for it due to the lack of hammer, but I was able to take an Uncle Mikes Pro-3 and shorten the thumb strap so it works.

sigs are top of the line. i gave it 4 stars because its double action only. defeats the term semiauto.

Great pistol, 7 years faithful, never had a malfunction. Although mine was not the DAK, but I can say that if I was having to place my life behind a weapon, this one has my vote.

I was a bit skeptical about the DAK trigger at first. I thought I'd miss the SA pull of my old Sig DA/SA .40, but after the 1st half a day at the range, and running it through our course of fire the very 1st time, I was a believer.
I'd guess my scores, on average, increased 2 to 3 points over my old DA/SA .40. I'm also extremely pleased with my grouping. For me I'd say I've shot the tightest groups I ever shot with a pistol. The only downside I can think of is that you have to go a bit slower on a double tap (due to farther pull & reset), but aside from that I feel that it's the best sidearm I've ever used. Also when I ran the transition training at my worksite I didn't hear on complaint from any of my co-worker about their new DAK Sigs. They all seemed to like it.

Again, I like Sigs, especially the 226. And the DAK trigger is a wonderful thing.

Way better than the out-dated Glock. This gun was designed from the ground up to improve on the Glock's shortcomings. The tolerances are way tighter and it shows. Of course you need to have some knowledge and experience to really appreciate the differences but then again a monkey could shoot a Glock. So, once you have gotten all you can out of your Glock and you just can't seem to get any better groups or times, give the Sig a try and see what you have been missing.
