Interesting and very funny memoir about joining the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the predecessor to the CIA, during WWII.

Very well written, I ordered my copy through the Naval Institute Press, Amazon has copies. Background checks weren't an option as the U.S. had to plunge into WWII, on short notice. Your life depended on people you could trust, so the intelligence community turned to classmates and fraternity brothers from elite American colleges. A privileged crowd that filled the parking lots at the CIA with Jaguars after the war. This is some great summer reading that will make you laugh out loud.
