Smith & Wesson has taken their very popular M100 handcuffs and changed the double lock feature to make the new Smith & Wesson M&P Handcuffs. The lever which is on the bottom of the cuff near where the chain attaches is small enough not to even be noticed while holding your "control grip" and yet large enough that it can stilll be flipped with gloved hands. Once the lever is pulled over far enough to engage the double lock feature the only way to unlock the feature is by putting a standard handcuff key into the key hole and un-double locking it as you would any of smith and wessons handcuffs. Double locking is much easier to do at night as you can feel the lever and engage it instead of trying to get the back of your handcuff key into the small slot, or to push the pin on those models. They have earned their spot on the front of my duty gear as my primary cuffs.

These are good cuffs! Exactly what you’d expect from S&W. They’re just like any other S&W 100 as far as strength and reliability. Personally, I hate the S&W double lock slot design so these are definitely better than standard 300s, but I’m not sure I like them better than my 100p’s. The only thing keeping these from getting 5 stars is the finish. I just can’t get over the horrible finish of S&W cuffs.

Excellent. Work great....just recently obtained a couple pair...never thought anything would beat Peerless but I really like the lever lock double locking feature.

Another excellent product from Smith and Wesson. I like the Lever Lock feature because it allows me to double lock the handcuffs without a key- which means I'm not digging for a key and can keep better control of the prisoner. I got mine with the melonite finish which is even more rust resistant than the nickel finish. Highly recommended product.

I've been using these handcuffs for about a year now. They are very durable and super fast to deploy. The lever lock completely removes the need for a handcuff key while cuffing somebody. This allows for more control over the subject and PERFECT for low light conditions (which I work in 90% of the time). I bought the black melonite finish ones and they look great. Bottom these cuffs!!
