GunVault gun safes are truly premium security products. Their No-Eyes® Keypad provide lightning-quick access, even in the dark. This safe is excellent for people with children that still want easy access to a firearm for home protection. The GunVault can be programed with an almost unlimited combinations of access codes, making the safe impossible for anyone without the access code to access.

The vault can easily be opened by the owner, should he need quick access to his firearm to protect his family from an intruder.

    Weight: 9 lbs
    Dimensions: 8.1"w x 4.9"h x 12"d
    Power Supply: 8AA Batteries
    Body Thickness: 16 ga.

The security and usability of this safe his terrific. However, the foam on the "ceiling" of this safe has never stayed in place in mine. This is more of an annoyance than anything and doesn't impact the true purpose of the safe (keeping unwanted persons - perps and children - from gaining access). But, if I'm not extra careful when reaching into it the top of my hand gets scraped up.

This is a very nice safe, you can open it either by fingertip code..or by key. I would suggest for someone that needs to get into it in the middle of the night and fast- use the key. I would not want to try to be half awake and try to get in with the fingertips code fast when I really need it. That is not to say that it can not be done, I am sure that it can- I am just the type of person that thinks ahead...Just in case.

Fantastic safe, quick and easy to use. I like the larger size since I can store a full size pistol, 50 round box of ammo, and a couple spare mags. The beep is annoying, but I can overlook it.

I just purchased one of these, and I have it bolted in my closet. Love it. Every officer should own one of these if he has kids around the house. Also holds other valuables,

Not bad but they could have made it bigger or even add slots made just for handguns, to seperate them from other things you might put in there.

I have one bolted on its side in my closet. The beeping is pretty muffled because of the clothing. I keep all 3 handguns in there.

Easy to access and quickly. Works great in the dark and is not too pricey.

I learned about these safes during my concealed weapons class at ACSO. I found one for $89.00 in my area. I live with a friend whose daughter is a curious 2 year old and I believe this to provide safety from her accessing my weapon and conveneince for me if the need arises for me to access my firearm.

Nice safe! I have had this safe for many many years now. I carry this in our MotorCoach and it very secure for those times when people come into the bus to do work on it. I have it mounted in a closet so the touch/feel opening device is nice to where you dont have to actually look at it to access it. But...beware, dont have a senior moment and forget your access code! heehee

I anchored mine to the side of the wall on top of the closet shelf. I wasn't convinced that was sturdy enough so I drilled two holes through the bottom of the safe and through the shelf. I used 1/2" carriage bolts and secured it to the shelf itself with some big old fender washers in between. The shelf itself is anchored pretty well. Bottom line is if a burglar wants it he is up for a pretty good challange. I have a 550 lb long gun safe coming as so as I get the money saved up. These minis are the way to go starting out though... especially if you have kids!

I have two of these vaults. One is just duty pistols, the other has pistols used for other uses. I am going to get the new long Gunvault.

Any gun vault is nice to have. There are so many now but as long as they serve the purpose, they are worth the money.

Great safe. It's faster to use two hands when doing the combo. Plus you need to catch the door when it opens, it's spring loaded and packs a punch. I change the batteries every year.
I have the double shelf. It was about $160.

I use this mainly to keep the kids from accessing my guns and it still allows me quick access if I need it.

This is a must for a house with small children, as long as they aren't too smart to punch in the code that should be changed regularly!!

I own this product its great, but don't do what i did and lose the key lol. And if you do don't let the batteries die. its never failed. I used it to keep my roommates away from side arm. Good for the car if you need in a locked but easily accessible box. I take it everywhere great way to circumvent tight gun laws in strict states

This is a great thing to have around, espically if you have kids. I bought one when I moved in with my wife because she has a 4 year old. I feel good knowing that I can have quick access to my weapon if need but yet the kids can't get to it. I have a glock 22 and 27, and they both fit with room to spare. Overall I love this product. I would (and more than once have) recommend this product to anyone that needs secure storage but still needs easy access to their firearms.
