Awesome, but after about 50 rounds or so the recoil spring gets hot and you have to allow it to cool or you have to change it over to a low recoiled spring, same is about a nine dollar fix.

Nice, but as others have said after 50 rounds or so you have to let it cool down or make a change.

Too expensive for a tactical entry grunt gun. This is also not as compact as its competition. Not a bad semi-Auto but i think may be put to better use in civilian hands i.e hunting and personal protection.

I DID NOT NEARLY THE PRICE THAT IS LISTED ABOVE. I GUESS I GOT LUCKY. THE 1201 I CARRY IS A GREAT FIREARM. I WOULD LIKE TO POSSIBLY CHANGE A FEW ITEMS ON IT LIKE THE STOCK AND MAYBE A COUPLE OF OTHER ITEMS TO SEE HOW IT WOULD OPERATE BUT OVERALL IT IS A SOLID WEAPON.

I have had fantastic luck with this shotgun which has been carried on duty for the last 8 years. Never had any malfunction through it either. I have shot well over 50 rounds out of it during contined firing and never had a problem with the recoil spring as explained. You basically are getting a Benelli M1 for several hundred dollars less and the hardware and accessories are interchangable. Mine has a Benelli stock, ghost rings, tritium front site, extended charging handle, and side saddle.

I choose mine with the pistol grip, IMO it has a better feel & IMO looks better. Weighing in @ only 5.5ibs it does cry for you to use Like Ranger low-Recoil loads & I guess I shouldn't lie & say it will make you cry for low recoil loads. I really can not find any flaw within the boundries of what it was dsigned for. Fast, Accurate & dependable & THAT IT DOES! Shooting off a bag & using some 3in. slugs it will group 2in. consistlenty @ 100yds. And with Beretta who I'm sure most of you know owns Benelli the 1201FP has the same Benelli Inertia system which is unsurpassed in speed. In most cases the Inertia system is much faster than the average man behind the trigger. Lighting does not sound as fast as the Inertia system is. So 5.5lbs toped off w/chromed line barrel & just plain old rifle sites makes target aquisition so fast & accurate I would not care to be on the receiving end of this little monster...Any one who may want extra info, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions. Or hell if you want to write me & tell me I'm crazy as hell thats OK also. Would not be the first time I heard that...lol Ronnie..Augusta, Georgia 30906 email: RonniesTintnSign@aol.com- Flag as inappropriate

This is my favorite gun for tactical situations. Light weight, never fails and will continue to operate without a problem long beyond 50 rounds. I even used slugs in this weapon and can hit a baseball sized bullseye from 40 meters everytime.

Have carried this shotgun for the last seven years. Holds six rounds of 2 3/4 inch shells and can spit them out in seconds. The pistol grip makes even 00 Buck or Slug loads controllable. The adjustable sights are great for slugs, I can put three rounds into a 3" circle at 25 yards. Plenty of accuracy for a patrol shotgun. I LOVE to stand at the 15 yard line, fully loaded with 00, brace it against my hip, and absolutely vaporize the target. Pumps are incredibly reliable, but this semi will open your eyes. WARNING: DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND INSTALL A "SIDE SADDLE" SHELL CARRIER! They sell one for this gun, and it looks way cool when it's installed, but it will cause the weapon to cycle incorrectly. This gun is recoil operated and based on inertia, you can't add extra weight to it and expect it to function. I took the side saddle off and it went back to perfect operation.
