This is my carry weapon...only blued.
This is one of the finest stock firearms I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. It'll take 12+1 .40 cal hydrashocks. I fired 47/50 on the FBI course with this gun. A fantastic duty piece and in a pancake holster makes a fine "wintertime" carry gun.
Definately recommend with the night sights.

ran almost 1000 rounds of reloads through without a problem, I'm not big on DA but this is the first DA gun I've shot that I don't throw-a-round easy on recoil and feels confortable in the hand

Absolutely LOVE the Sig229. Own the Equinox version. The weight of the slide on this particular firearm helps to keep the recoil to a minimum. Great size for concealed carry plus the weight of this gun while concealed reminds you it's there. Field strips completely in about 3 seconds...would not dream of getting rid of it save for a new one.

Would not own another handgun other than this...excellent power in the .40 S&W and good concealability.

I love Sigs and this is no exception. Shoots great and conceals good. I carry mine off duty in a Kramer MSP Paddle or a crossbreed tuckable. Both are awesome holsters for an awesome gun.

Carried one for the last 11 years of my career and never had a problem. I was an instructor and put several thousand rounds into mine. I worked in the Nevada Desert, and around water, a recipe for problems. None. Only routine maintenance was performed. Even when dropped to the bottom of the lake, upon recovery, draining, and inspection though, the pistol fired the full magazine.
That's something to say for Winchester Ranger ammo too.

A bit on the heavy side, but I like it that way. Shot the 9mm and really enjoyed it. Very accurate and easy to use. I'll probably purchase this one sooner or later.

I liked it do to its weight and accuracy. Reminded me a lot of my Jet fire but with a little more fire power.
