Dr. Halbrook does a great job of placing the 2nd Amendment's wording in the context of our country's beginnings. This book goes to great lengths to share the original arguments for and against the creation of the Bill Of Rights. His historic account of many events leading up the Revolutionary War shows the mindset of our founding fathers, and why our right to keep and bear arms were of utmost importance to them. A must read (and long one) for anyone interested in the Second Amendment.
