The best pistol I have had in 32 years of Law enforcement. The Smith & wesson was discontinued by our Department 4 years ago. This one is the best. Light easy to field strip and Never misfeeds.

I have the older model without the rail system. The best part of this weapon is the fast target acquisition because of the light front barrel.

The G17 and my G22 are the only sidearms I've ever felt the need to carry. They even conceal well for U/C and offduty applications. A+ for reliability, durability and longevity (my G17 is a 1st generation and still performs like NEW!)

I own a Glock 17 and a Glock 22. Neither have malfunctioned, EVER! I've had the 17 for 3 years and the 22 for 2 years. No misfeeds, jams, drops. NADDA! And when firing the 17, never any issues with heeling, canting, nothing! Fantastics guns. I don't think I'll ever purchase any other firearms outside of Glock!

Great weapon on or off duty. Light weight easy to detail strip and even easier to field strip. Has high capacity (17 rounds) and places the rounds right where you want them! Ammo is much cheaper than a .40 Cal and allows more practice relating into better placed shots and fewer slowdowns in a real world scenario train like you where in a gun fight and when the gun fight starts you won't be thinking just reacting properly and accurately.

Is a very good tool. Generaly is the best selection in its price. It's not the fastest in the world, but the fastest in this amount of money. You can trust your life on it, because is for sure reliable.

I have three Glocks (23, 26, 30) and owned a 17,19 and 20. These are great handguns for the price...."GLOCK PERFECTION" !

I love this gun so much that I went and bought a 26 for a daily carry gun. The Glock 17 has been the best gun I have ever shot. I have fired S&W's, Sig's and Springfields and i like the Glock the best.

I give it a four because it is a Glock. The only draw back is it is a 9mm.

Excellent handgun! As a retired member of the now defunct Metropolitan Police Dept. in Boston, this was a new police issue in the late 80's that replaced the S & W 38 cal. revolver that we carried. The Glock 17 turned out to be the best "must have" police handgun going with its high capacity mag, 9mm stopping power and the repetitive full trigger squeeze that has an adjustable 3 to 5 lb. pull (gave you a few more split seconds to determine whether or not to let another round go at the potential "bad guy" target). Safety-switch free, the full trigger squeeze acts as the barrier of safety and allows "right out of the holster operation"! As it was then, it still is today-an exceptional, lightweight, easy to conceal and carry weapon that will take abusive use and still function at 100%. I still own and carry one!

The chosen sidearm of overseas PSD and OGA personnel. Also one of the weapons I got familar with in the police academy.....solid weapon, especially for the price. You cant ever go wrong with Glock, and the G17 sets the standard for 9mm service pistols.

You can't beat the glock line of pistols they are the most reliable guns on the market, I've owned several throughout the years and they are tough as nails

This weapon is time tested. It is easy to maintain, very accurate and cost effective. I have several Glocks and they all originated out of the 17 concept

I really like this product it is easy to carry around. {LOL} when I was on patrol it does not feel like you had it on your possesion. It really doesn't and I don't mind having it for my personal use as well.

Outstanding weapon both on and off duty. The grip and balance of the weapon makes is a perfect fit every time. I haver have had it jam, and the jams I've seen others have with it is because the limp wristed the weapon.

I have many glocks, rate them as 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.
Only knock is LOOOONg trigger pull.
when shootinf for score, only release trigger until you hear the click of trigger resetting, next pull will be short and crisp.

I am currently going through firearms and it's also my first time firing a Glock. I have shot many other models previously ranging from Taurus PT140, PT111, Lama, Bersa, Berretta and Rugger. I will have to say that the Glock 17 is the easiest, cleanest, most predictable and accurate hand weapon I have fired to date. I qualified with this weapon the first time through the firing line. The initial trigger pull is a little long, but after the reset for the next round it's very short and sweet.

I carried one for years. It is one of the most reliable, trouble free objects ever made. When we went to the .40S&W, I switched over to the G35, which I find I like ever better.
