The only reason I don't give this weapon a 5 rating is it's not available in .45cal. I literally took this pistol from the gun store to the range to qualify. Right out of the box with no fam firing I was immediately impressed with the handling and accuracy of this pistol. Now after having been in service for almost thirteen years it still functions flawlessly.

I carried this weapon for 3 years on duty.... through rain or shine this weapon was wonderful. Never had a jam or problem no matter how much i shot it.

This is a superior weapon. Sight alignment is superb, and the recoil is minimal for the round it throws downrange. Recovery and reacquisition are a cinch with this well balanced handgun. I would recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding performance and very durable weapon. Handles as well in inclimate weather as it does in fair weather. As long as you continue to practice basic shooting fundamemtals you should have no problem with qualifying on the range. (Note) I have found that if you have large hands it is better to have the Hogue grips installed, this eliminates your thumb from inadvertently hitting the magazine release button while firing; thus causing the magazine to partially release and you wasting precious time having to reset the wepon. I have personally found these wider grips will eliminate that problem.

Feels great in my hand, never jams and a fine looking weapon. Easy to disassemble and clean and is supported by lasermax for the internal laser.

I have a compact model and to be honest it's not compact at all. I shoots fine but is like carrying a boat anchor.

I love the way this weapon handles. I have shot it on the range and have had no problems. I also carry the same gun as a backup/off duty weapon

I carry the 96 off-duty on occasions. It is a sturdy weapon that continues the Beretta legacy. I really like the fact that it makes an incredible combo with the CX4 Storm. They share the same magazine and it gives you the potential to reach out and touch someone or just hit them close to home. I've always been a Beretta fan even though I've carried a Glock for 19 years. Beretta has yet to dissapoint!

Carry as my personal protection weapon, feels good in the hand with the wrap around rubber grip. Like the stopping power against large predators, i.e. Mountain Lions. I spend alot of time in the woods since being retired.

I have carried this weapon on duty for 7 years now. Rain, snow, salt air, sand has never effected it. Still as accurate as when it was issued to me. The only reason it is not a five is that the frame is a little to large for undercover work.

Berettas my gun of choice. This is my third purchase and the one gun I will never let go of. I hit my mark without fail. The only other gun I would want to have again is the 9mm. I love this gun.

I have carried this weapon at work since it's inception to our department. With my acquired custom grips I find it to have good overall balance, with excellent recovery, and reacquistion. It has a confident feel, especially with the custom grips.

I carried this pistol on duty for a few years it stood the test of time and held up pretty good the only reson i give it a 3 of 5 rating is because it had such a heavy trigger pull.

My first Duty weapon, i loved it... accurate, reliable, powerful. (I Don't recommend the Centurion... or Hammerless model had some slight problems when they tried to swap me to that... nothing from this model.)
one thing to watch out for though is the Magazine... went to qualify with my back-up officer, i noticed he swapped magazines after every two or three shots, after asking about it he admitted that his gun was a piece of crap, it jammed every few shots. I knew the Ammo was good, Winchester Rangers have no trouble in this gun, so i checked the feed ramp and magazine well for obstruction... nothing, i went to check the Mag springs when i noticed the 92 on the bottom... he was using a mag for a 9mm, had been for the last two years...
that was the maddest i've ever been at a fellow officer, If your gun isn't working... GET IT CHECKED OUT! he had endangered not just his own life, but mine as well.

I love this weapon. I purchased mine in 1993. I've never had a malfunction with any ammo I have put through it. A model 92 with the stopping power of a .40 cal! A+
